King Philip V of Spain bestowed the noble title “MARQUES DE CASA CONCHA” upon José de Santiago Concha y Salvatierra for his<br />
work as Governor of Chile and Knight of Calatrava. Winery founder, Don Melchor de Santiago Concha y Toro, became the seventh’<br />
Marques de Casa Concha’. In honour of the hereditary title and reflecting traditional and noble values, a 1972 Cabernet Sauvignon<br />
from Puente Alto was launched in 1976. It carried the distinguished Marques de Casa Concha label and was Viña Concha y Toro’s<br />
flag bearing wine in its day. Today the Marques de Casa Concha range has been well extended and is also known as “a consistently<br />
90+ point brand” following continuous outstanding reviews from Wine Spectator.<br />
