FELTON ROAD
Felton Road is a small, artisan winery established in 1991 and has quickly gained a reputation as one of New Zealand’s leading premium
wine producers. Their three vineyards are all located in Central Otago’s Bannockburn sub-region. The winemaking maintains
an emphasis on natural winemaking in a gravity flow winery with as little intervention as possible. Practices such as whole cluster,
wild yeasts, and an absence of fining and filtration are hallmarks of Felton Road’s wines.
METIS - ESPRIT WINES
We’re pleased to add to the portfolio the results of a Franco-Kiwi collaboration by our Loire specialist Pascal Jolivet. Seeds for the
joint venture were sown late in 2005 when Jolivet first sampled Trinity Hill’s Hawkes Bay Sauvignon at the Bleeding Heart Restaurant,
owned by Trinity Hill partners Robert and Robyn Wilson. “It was so different from a Marlborough Sauvignon, so much more
European in style that I immediately decided to visit Hawkes Bay with the Wilsons. I was very impressed with the soil and with the
winery. We set up a joint venture which we have called Esprit Wines Limited, to capture the spirit of both countries” says Pascal.
ISABEL ESTATE
www.isabelvineyard.com
Isabel Vineyard was named after Michael’s late mother, Isabel Jean Pearson who encouraged her son away from his 20-year career
as a pilot and into the art of wine. Michael & Robyn and their four children currently work in the family owned vineyard. Premium
quality grapes are derived from a unique soil profile from some of the oldest vines in Marlborough. This complexity and minerality
from the soil is reflected in the distinct characteristics of all Isabel wines.
