Coming from a family that has been in the Chablis region for more than 250 years, William Fèvre’s father was already a great winemaker
after World War II. His son William founded the Domaine de la Maladière and announced his first harvest in 1959.For many
years, William Fèvre (who to this day enjoys a very good reputation as a defender of historically renowned terroirs), has worked
each plot keenly and skilfully so as to make wine whose personality reflects the authenticity of the soils from which they spring.

In this estate, knowledge has been transmitted from father to son for the last four centuries, during this thirteen generation history
the Domaine continuously grew with the addition of Chablis’ best terroir. Today, it is Benoit Droin who manages the 25ha and produces
some of the most respected wines from 5 crus : Petit Chablis, Chablis, 8 Premiers Crus and 5 Grands Crus. As for many good
things, the quantity remains low and the wines are sold on an allocation basis.
