Having graduated from the Art Institute, the Chair of Graphic Art in 1982, he started his artistic career from book illustrations,<br />

woodcuts and etchings. Since then he has tried to expand in all possible direction and not limit himself only with the<br />

possibilities offered by the graphic genre.<br />

He has received several grants and scholarships from the governmental and private associations, including the Pollock-<br />

Krasner Grant (2001), Ministre Van <strong>de</strong> Vlaamse Gemeenschap, Frans Maserel Graphic Center (1995, 2004 and 2005) and<br />

Lithuanian state stipend (2001-2003, 2006-2008).<br />

Career<br />

He has arranged around thirty solo exhibitions that have travelled in several European countries. The most recent of them<br />

are «A Form of Si1ence - Steady Sence of I<strong>de</strong>ntity» (2008) in Gallery Aka<strong>de</strong>mija in Vilnius, «Simultaneous Vision» (2008) in<br />

Kaunas M.K.Čiurlionis National Museum of Art. In addition, Grigaliūnas has participated in numerous group exhibitions. In<br />

2008 his works were presented in International Graphic Art Biennial «Now Art Now Future» (Lithuania), as well as during the<br />

IV International Graphic art Triennial in Kaliningrad (Russia).<br />
