Analysis based on the pending <strong>criminal</strong> cases –MLAs<br />
UPEW has analysed affidavits <strong>of</strong> 395 MLAs out <strong>of</strong> 403 MLAs. 139 MLAs out <strong>of</strong> the 395 MLAs analyzed<br />
from Uttar Pradesh Assembly in 2007 have pending <strong>criminal</strong> cases against them. Of these 139 MLAs,<br />
there were pending serious <strong>criminal</strong> cases against 73 MLAs.<br />
Party- wise break up <strong>of</strong> MLAs with pending <strong>criminal</strong> cases<br />
Out <strong>of</strong> total 139 MLAs with pending <strong>criminal</strong> cases, 69 MLAs are from BSP, 35 MLAs are from SP, 14<br />
MLAs are from BJP, 8 MLAs are from INC <strong>and</strong> 4 MLAs are from RLD.<br />
