Christian Church of Mooresville. As a<br />
seminary student, she served as Student<br />
Assistant Minister at Southport Christian<br />
Church from April 1980 to January 1984.<br />
She cumntly serves as Associate Minister<br />
at South Side Christian Church in<br />
Kokomo .<br />
Julie Leak has recently been hired as<br />
the new K-1 Pre-IDEA Resource Teacher<br />
in Perry Township bfted program).<br />
She lives in Indianapolis.<br />
Derek and LaDonna (Riddle) Weber<br />
are finally "back home again, in<br />
Indiana!" Derek has completed a year's<br />
appointment with the Dove Valley Circuit<br />
of the British Methodist Church. He<br />
received his MTh from Perkins School<br />
of Theology in May 1983. He has been<br />
appointed as associate to LaPorte United<br />
Methodist Church where he will begin<br />
in August. While in England, LaDonna<br />
worked as an inventory consultant/<br />
cataloguer for the National Trust at<br />
Sudbury Hall.<br />

Richard A Newbeny has been appointed<br />
vice president for finance and chief<br />
financial officer at NWT National<br />
Resource CQ., a subsidiary of Northwest<br />
Industries Inc. in Chicago. He had been<br />
director of finance and operations since<br />
May 1983. He is a certified public<br />
accountant and a distinguished certlfied<br />
management accountant.<br />

Samuel J. Juett was recently selected<br />
as a research assistant for the university<br />
of Louisville in the graduate school.<br />
Also, he was promoted to a first<br />
lieutenant in the United States Army<br />
Reserve. He has been placed on staff<br />
with the 212th S & S Bn., Jeffersonvilk,<br />
Indiana. Currently, Sam and his wife,<br />
Rev. JoAnne Juett, minister of youth<br />
and music at North Vernon Baptist<br />
Church, live in North Vernon.<br />

as a programmer with the Alverno<br />
Administrative Services, Inc. in<br />
Indianapolis.<br />
The <strong>Alumni</strong> <strong>News</strong> has learned that<br />
Diedre Funkhouser is now a student at<br />
Duke Divinity School in Durham, North<br />
Carolina.<br />
R Joy Partridge has accepted<br />
employment with the Indiana Office of<br />
Occupational Development, following<br />
her year-long experience as a Governor's<br />
Fellow. She is an administrative assistant<br />
to the executive director of the Indiana<br />
Office of Occupational Development.<br />

Peter A. Engelmann was accepted for<br />
admission in the graduate program in<br />
the department of physics and<br />
astronomy at the University of Rochester.<br />
Douglas Zehr has been offered a<br />
graduate assistantship in the<br />
department of biology at Ball State<br />
University for the 1984-85 academic year.<br />

12 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in<br />
Columbus. The bride is employed at the<br />
Bartholomew County Hospital and the<br />
groom is employed at Cummins Engine<br />

married May 27 at Second Mount<br />
Pleasant Baptist Church. Linda is<br />
employed by Syndistar Inc. in New<br />
Orleans, Louisiana. Kevin is a structural<br />
engineer for River Consulting Inc. in<br />
Metairie, Louisiana. The couple is living<br />
in Metairie.<br />
Sharon S. Kurtz became the bride of<br />
Larry Smith on June 18, 1983. Larry is<br />
a farmer and Sharon teaches first grade<br />
at Clinton Central Elementary School.<br />

groom an Iowa State University graduate<br />

in Greenwood. Sue is a French teacher<br />
for Indianapolis Public Schools and<br />
Kevin is a pharmaceutical representative<br />
for Berlex Laboratories.<br />

vows with Brian J. Fry on June 9. She is<br />
employed as an elementary teacher in<br />
Phoenix, where the couple is residing.<br />
He is employed in Phoenix as a civil<br />
