Preschool Soccer

This introductory program will focus
on teaching kids the basic fundamental
skills and rules of soccer. Equipment
is provided. It is recommended that
all participants wear shin guards. The
fee includes a shirt and certificate
of participation. This program

Youth Recreation
Westonka Soccer Club
Competitive Soccer for Ages 8-18
The Westonka Soccer Club (WSC) is a member of the
Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) and runs
in partnership with Westonka Community Education and
Services. Our focus is on providing an environment where
players can develop their skills and technique, as well as
team skills and sportsmanship. Our teams play competitive
soccer at various age levels against teams from across the twin
cities, but primarily in the West Metro. Teams will be formed
after the registration process is complete. Practices will begin
indoors in March with league games from May through July. Typically, teams
meet two to three times per week. For more information about the club or to

Registration
The registration fee includes: registration to the WSC, MYSA and Community
Education, MYSA Insurance, Referee fees, Coaching Education and Licensing, one
Invitational Tournament, a Photo Package, U9-U10 includes an end-of-season trophy
and the MYSA Jamboree, U11-U18 includes all District and State team playoff fees.
All participants will register directly with the Westonka Soccer Club.

Uniforms
Uniforms are an additional fee of $75. Only new players will need to buy a uniform
(returning players will be able to use the 2011 uniform). Players will also need to
bring a soccer ball, soccer shoes, and shin guards to all games and practices.
Tryouts
Tryouts will occur as needed February 10-12. Any player who registers after
January 31 will only be placed on a team if space permits. Team consolidation
can occur at any age level based on level of participation. Advance notice of any
changes will be given.
Club Volunteer Support
There is an expectation that every family volunteer in some way (coaching, team
manager/co-manager, board member, picture organizer, fundraising support, etc).
At a minimum each family is expected to be involved in our annual Soccer Blitz
fundraising event in early May and the Club hosted District Tournament in July.
