Experience exquisite French classics<br />

starting with french onion soup topped<br />

with toasted croutons and gruyere<br />

cheese, browned to perfection, followed<br />

by “Coq au Vin”, tender breast of<br />

chicken sautéed with fresh pearl onions,<br />

mushrooms and bacon in a rich burgundy<br />

wine sauce served with a delicious wild<br />

rice blend and green beans amandine.<br />

We’ll finish with “Crepes Suzette”, thin<br />

French Pancakes served in a delightful<br />

butter, citrus and brandy sauce. Instructor<br />

Jeff Sandino is the founder of Flavors<br />

from Home, Inc., home cooking<br />

instruction and catering services. He<br />

most recently served as executive chef of<br />

the original Buca Di Beppo and several<br />

years as executive sous-chef with Figlio<br />

restaurant. Jeff’s 28 years of experience<br />

in the industry has brought him to such<br />

gourmet restaurants as “Le Café Royal”<br />

to more causal dining establishments<br />

such as “Sunsets” on Wayzata Bay.<br />

Tex Mex<br />

We’ll start with “Empanadas”,<br />

tasty little pastries filled with beef,<br />

tomatoes, potatoes and herbs. We’ll<br />

then prepare authentic mexican rice,<br />

prepared with onions, garlic, tomatoes<br />

and fresh coriander leaves. Fajitas will<br />

follow, tender strips of beef and chicken<br />

along with fresh sautéed bell pepper and<br />

onion wrapped in warm tortilla shells<br />

and served with fresh tomato salsa,<br />

guacamole and sour cream. We’ll finish<br />

this fiesta with a Yucatecan-style delight,<br />

fresh coconut blended with rich custard<br />

in a wonderful a nutty crust, baked to a<br />

caramely brown, and served with crème<br />

Pasta, Pasta, Pasta!<br />

Starts with bruschetta topped with vine ripe tomatoes, zesty herb salsa and<br />

creamy gorgonzola cheese. We’ll begin our pasta barrage with a classic Italian dish,<br />

“spaghetti and meatballs” tossed in a light marinara sauce and topped with freshly grated<br />

parmesan cheese. Next you’ll enjoy ziti pasta tossed with olive oil, fresh garlic, broccoli,<br />

oven roasted tomatoes and tender breast of chicken followed by vermicelli tossed with<br />

succulent gulf shrimp in a delicious roasted red bell pepper pesto cream sauce. We’ll<br />

finish with “Panna Cotta”, a delightful combination of cream and gelatin served in a pool<br />

of fresh strawberry sauce with crispy almond wafers. Instructor: Jeff Sandino<br />

The Art of Sushi<br />

Come explore the world of Sushi as you create this Japanese delicacy yourself.<br />

We’ll begin by preparing sushi rice. You’ll then learn the art of “maki-sushi” rolling rice<br />

and various fillings in nori (dried seaweed sheets). Options will include panko-breaded<br />

shrimp, seared tuna, teriyaki chicken, crabmeat, avocado, cucumber and more. For the<br />

adventurous there will be raw tuna to prepare “nigiri-sushi” (on hand molded rice). You’ll<br />

also learn to prepare the traditional cucumber salad and discover “Edamame”, fresh salted<br />

soybeans (They’re addictive). Instructor: Jeff Sandino<br />

Classic Soups<br />

Create some of the best hearty soups – New England Clam Chowder, Wild Rice,<br />

Pumpkin, Split Pea with Ham, and Corn Bisque with Rosemary. Then top it off with the<br />

very famous French Beef Stew in Red Wine (Boeuf Bourguignon). What could be better<br />

for an easy meal during the cold weather – soup, salad, and some great bread! Join us!<br />
