College Boot Camp: How to
Win College Scholarships
and How to Get Into Top
Colleges
Getting into America’s top colleges and
paying for it is the toughest challenge
facing high school students. Yet, few
parents and students know where to start.
Few know that you don’t have to be an
academic superstar or varsity athlete to
attend America’s top schools and win free
college money. This course will teach
you what college admissions offices look
for in an application and how to select the
right college. The class also shows you
where to find unadvertised scholarship
opportunities, how to complete
scholarship forms and gather materials,
and what works and what doesn’t work
in competing for scholarship money.
This popular course is taught by Jason
Lum, who serves as CNBC’s contributing
consultant regarding college admissions
and financial aid. Jason has worked for
Harvard University’s Admissions Office.
A recipient of $250,000 in scholarship
winnings, and a graduate of Harvard and
Berkeley, Jason has served as a college
admissions and scholarships consultant
to families, schools, and public/private
organizations since 2000. Jason’s work
with high school students and families has
been profiled by the Minneapolis-St. Paul
Star Tribune, CBS news, and CBS radio.
The competition for college admissions
and scholarship competitions is more
intense than ever before. Equip yourself
