Chicago River from Thirty-first street to Thirty-ninth street, on
the south by Thirty-first street from Halsted street to the South
Fork of the South Branch of the Chicago River and also by
Thirty-ninth street from the South Fork of the South Branch of
the Chicago River to Hoyne avenue, on the west by Hoyne avenue
and Hoyne avenue produced north to the West Fork of the
South Branch of the Chicago River.
The area is about two and one-thirty-second square miles.
EIGHTH PRECINCT.
3900 South California Avenue.
This precinct is bounded as follows: Beginning at the intersection
of Forty-eighth avenue and the Drainage Canal, thence
northeasterly along said Drainage Canal to Kedzie avenue, thence
north on Kedzie avenue to the \Vest Fork of the South Branch of
the Chicago River, thence in an easterly direciion along said
river to Hoyne avenue, thence south on Hoyne avenue to Thirtyninth
street, thence west on Thirty-ninth street to Western avenue
boulevard, thence south to Forty-second street, thence west
to Archer avenue, thence in a southwesterly direction along
Archer avenue to Forty-eighth avenue, thence north on Fortyeighth
avenue to the place of beginning.
The area is about five square iniJes.
SIXTH DISTRICT.
TENTH PRECINCT.
5233 Lake Avenue.
This precinct is bounded on the north by Thirty-ninth street,
on the east by Lake Michigan, on the south by Sixtieth street, on
the west by Cottage Grove avenue.
The area is about two and one-half square miles.
