Trzuskowski, (Mary Trausch) 9043 Maryland Ave., Niles, Ill. spend a week in New York as the guest of International Business Machine, (I.B.M.). This special tour was provided for all those who made the 100% club in the sales department. While in New York, they visited with Mary's brother and his famly Larry and Pat Trausch, in Waldwick, New Jersey. Their return route also took them to Niagara Falls. Upon their return home they took their children Lisa, Denise and Michae and spent another week at their summer home at Eagle Lake Manor Wisconsin. Werldinq Announcement Mr. ana ivirs. Herman I. Sincerely yours, Maurice Steinmetz L Ambassador of Luxembourg A Drive To Indiana Mr. and Mrs. Leo Eschette (Judy) and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rehfeldt and son Jack Jr. took a day from their daily chores for an enjoyable tour through Indiana, the Hossier State. They enjoyed the beach and the many scenic spots in their drive. Return From Two Week Tour Miss Marie Weber of 1837 Paterson St. Chicago, Ill. and her companion, Miss Caroline Ristig, of Oak Park, Illinois, returned from a two week tour which took them to the South Dakota's Mount Rushmore. From there to the Grand Teton, snow capped mountains and then 50 miles further to Yellowstone National Park. They returned hale and hearty, a bit weather beaten but none the worse for these two members of the Luxembourg American Social Club. Party For Returned Soldier Michael Hermes son of John and Margo Hermes of Skokie, Illinois, returned from his army service at Anchorage, Alaska and upon arriving home was greeted with a party by his aunt Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Conrardy of Chicago, Ill. Michael will be married come October. We wish him much luck on his return to civilan life. Spending Vacation In South Dakota Mrs. Mathilca Arend, of Chicago, Ill. is spending a few weeks with her cousin, Mrs. Mary Reisch in Howard, South Dakota. They too could not escape the hot weather wich beset our Mid-West territory in July. We Welcome A New Subscriber Mrs. Leona B. Friday, August 14, 1964 LUXEMBOURG NEWS Page Three We Were Not Disappointed I am sure I can speak for all those who witnessed the "Music IN Motion", on Saturday, July 18th, at the Notre Dame Statdium. They will agree, it was a great show. We were glad we came, Luxembourg received a great boost as a National Group. It was also noteworthy to see when these champion corps took the field and among the many flags which were part of their drill, ons could see them wave the Luxembourg flag throughout the drill. Many of those leaving the grounds stopped at the Skokie Legion Club House in Skokie, where open house was held. This Legion Club was the co-sponser with the Luxembourg American Social Club in producing this show. Sunday July 19, a visit to Cantigny First Division War Memorial Museum on the farm of Col. Robert R. Me Cormick, near Wheaton, Ill. Two buses left the Luxembourg Gardens, at 10:30 in the morning. Besides the members of the club making this trip we were accompanied by an honor guard from Skokie Legion Post and the accordian players from the Wilkins Symphonettes. The distinguished Colonel William Kearney, publisher of the Pickwick papers had charge with Dick Smith of the Luxembourg Club of the outing. Upon arriving the visitors went through the museum and visited the beautiful gardens with their wide variety of flower beds and rose bushes. The highlight of the visit was the laying a wreath at the graveside of the late Col. Robert R. McCormick. While the Legion members stood honor guard, Harry Trausch, publisher of the Luxembourg News placed the wreath at foot of the monument. At one o'clock the home of the Colonel was opened for visitors. After our visitors went through this home with the valuable pocession and ancient furnishings the buses left to keep a date with management of the Gardens, where dinner was waiting for us. Following the meal, the Wilkins Symphonettes entertained the happy gathering with peppy accordian music. Attends Daughters Wedding Dr. Joan Winandy, daughter of Charles and the late Marguerite Winandy, of 1664 Bryn Mawr Ave. was married on July 1st in Dallas, Texas to Mr. John Tamez of that city. Her father Charles (Chick) attended the wedding. Dr. Joan is doing advanced work in radiology at the Veterans Hospital in Dallas. Prior to this special assignment she was associated for many years with St. Francis Hopital in Evanston, Ill. We extend our congratulations. Visiting Florida Mrs. Michael Warak (Katherine) of 2728 W. Leland Ave., her daughter Betty and son-in-law Clifford (Smoky) Kalinowski of Elmhurst, Ill. recently returned from a trip to Florida, where they visited different citiei there and stopping off at interesting points on the way down. They returned by way of Wisconsin where the Warak's have a summer home at Montello. Mrs. Warak is the financial secretary of the Luxembourg Ladies of the North Side. Returning to Luxembourg Mr. Jemps Funck, from Luxembourg City, who completed his University studies at Notre Dame University this year, returned to his native country after he made a tour through the United States seeing he many scenic sights before saying goodbye with a promise to return some News Bit's From The Victor Schenk Family Francis Schenk, his wife Vivian and Suzanne recently returned from a nice vacation. Their first stop was at Tuszon, Arizona, where they visited with a doctor friend for a week. From .here their itinerary took them to lendale, Calif, for a visit with Vivian's cousin. During their two weeks stay there, they enjoyed the cenic beauty of the neighboring ountryside and a must, a visit to lisneyland. Peter Schenk, returned from a Jutchers convention in Florida, where ic mixed pleasure with business for 10 day stay. Lee Schenk and a friend flew to he worlds fair in New York. Lee vorks for the United Air Lines in Arlington Heights, Ill. Barbara Lee Schenk Spran and lusband Jack spent their vacation in Wisconsin. Jack is the personell director for the Chicago Tribune. Phyllis Schenk Van Hende and lusband Maurice and son Henry also pent their vacation in Wisconsin. Rozanne Dernoeden, daughter of he late Frank and Kate Lulling, is icre on vacation from Korea for 3 months. While here she attended her athers funeral. Rozanne works for the United States government. News From Luxembourg His Excellency, Most Rt. Reverend Vtonsigneur Leon Lommel, Bishop of the Diocese Luxembourg celebrated lis 15th. Anniversary as a Bishop. We sincerely wish his worthy person many years as a Catholic leader in the Diocese Luxembourg. How Can I Get a Certificate of Citizenship? Question: My husband was naturalized in 1920. I have been told that I became an American through! his naturalization. How do I go about obtaining a certificate of citizenship." 1 Answer: Before September 22, 1922, a wife acquired citizenship through her husband's naturalization. In general you husband's naturalization certificate together with proof your marriage is sufficient to establish your American citizenship. If you wish to have your own certificate, you should make your application on Form N — 600. You will have to give inofrmation as to the dale and place of your husband's naturalization and his certificatee number, as well as information relating to yourself. If you wish detailed information this and other matters relating to American citizeniship and procedures, you may find it helpful to consult "How to Become a Citizen of the United States," a book published by the American Council for Nationalities Service. This also includes detailed information about the requirements for American citizenship, the different steps in becoming a citizen, sample questions and answers about American history and government. Link 2 Evanston Burglaries Evanston police said yesterday that the burglarizing of two Evanston homes early Sunday had been linked by the theft and subsequent discovery of a 12-in chkitchen knife. The knife was found in the home of Roger M. Simpson, of 2346 Colfax te.r, an insurance broker. Burglars took $6,300 in jewels, watches, and cash there. The knife had been taken from the home of Felix Breeden at 1633 Lincoln St., Evanston. The Breedens were out of the city and an invetory of the loss there had not been obtained.
