volunteer-based organization that
works in cooperation with the
Village of Libertyville to revitalize
our community’s historic
downtown.
An affiliate of the National Trust
for Historic Preservation’s
National Main Street Center,
MainStreet Libertyville is
modeled after a program
established in the 1970s by the
Trust designed specifically to
tackle the challenges that historic
town centers such as ours face in today’s society.
Blending economic development with historic
preservation, the MainStreet approach preserves
a community’s cultural and social resources by
helping them thrive as economic entities.
