DIVISION TWO (U18) Proudly Sponsored by Werribee Tigers <strong>Football</strong> Club Point Cook continues to march towards the Division Two minor premiership, with the Bulldogs now three games clear on top and defying every challenge thrown at them. Last weekend it was Altona that tried their mettle against the benchmark of the competition, going down by 122 points after another impressive display by the ladder leaders. Deer Park’s season is back on track following a handy 159 point win over St Albans, with the percentage boosting victory now moving the Lions back into second. Albanvale slip to third, with their four points from the bye obviously not coming with any increase in percentage meaning the race is now on between the Lions & Cobras for that highly sought after second spot. Hoppers Crossing are now two games clear in fourth after easily accounting for Caroline Springs by 71 points, while Parkside are now in outright fi fth on the ladder after breaking WWW.WRFL.ASN.AU RESULTS Caroline Springs 3.6-24 def. by Hoppers Crossing 13.17-95 Deer Park 25.17-167 def. This weekend all eyes will be on the Point Cook and Albanvale fi xture as the Cobras try to break the Bulldogs perfect win-loss record. Earlier this season Albanvale came very close to knocking the ladder-leaders off their perch, amassing more scoring shots than the Bulldogs in their Round Three fi xture but falling short by thirteen points. Both teams have since improved and while Point Cook should win this one, it wouldn’t be that unexpected if Albanvale shook things up with an upset win. Elsewhere Deer Park should earn another four points at home to Caroline Springs, Parkside should cement their spot in the fi ve away at Altona, while Wyndhamvale should remain in the hunt for that fi nals berth away at St Albans. However the competition is due for an upset and you never quite know what four quarters of footy will deliver.
