DIRECTOR'S NOTES
With the 1982 Nationals behind us, it's time to say thank you
to many organisations whose contribution ensured the sup
cess of the series

Clay Target Manufacturers
At the top of the list must be Winchester Australia and Eley
Ammunition. The comrnittment these two Companies make to 12 Rosebery Street, Balgowlah, NSW 2093

thank-you from ALL registered shooters. Apart from a long after hours (02)94 88182 (Sergio Zutfo)
list of valuable trophies very generously donated by these
Companies for the National Championships, they have provided
very real help for the National Training Squad in its
quest for medals at the Brisbane Commonwealth Games.
Both Eley and Winchester donated high grade shotguns to
be used as prizes in the raffle successfully conducted by the
Tasmanian Amateur Shotgun Association to raise money for
the National Training Squad. Again, a most sincere thankyou
from the Association
Other companies to make significant contributions to the
Nationals trophies were Commercial Marketing Co., Boustead
Trading, Borsimex, Evans & Balfour, Fuller Firearms, Alsafe
Industries and Clive Peeters Ry. Ltd. On behalf of the
Association, may I thank you all.
A quick estimate of the value of trophies donated for the '82
Nationals gives a conservative figure of $25,000. Added to
this of course are lots of hidden costs for the companies who
support us so well. Things like hire of trade sites, staff wages, THE ALL NEW OLIMPYC
accommodation and travel expenses while at the Nationals.
Other companies too assisted the Organising Committee INTERNATIONAL STANDARD
with the loan of equipment. These include Annand & Thomp
son, the Brisbane Yamaha dealers who provided motor bikes
and golf kart for Shoot Marshalls and Tournament Director,
and Remington Office Machines who kindly loaned a photocopier
for use in the Tournament office. Meadows Transport
assisted the Association greatly by transporting all trophies,
sales stock and office requirements from Melbourne to
Brisbane.
Official Photographer Doug McMillan worked long mid
hard to capture the happenings on film, as did Neil Groom
from the "Daily Telegraph" who fed results and stories to wire
services, for transmission around Australla.

Nationals, the skeeties will have their Championships later in
