Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs / improvements The teaching faculty and the students of the college are deeply involved in continuous improvement of the academic standard. This involvement is a continuous process which takes place through the following forums. 1. Department wise student’s organizations. 2. Department wise meetings of Guardian Faculty Members with the students (periodic) 3. Departmental faculty meetings on weekly basis. 4. Meetings of heads of the dept. with Principal on weekly basis. 5. Meetings of departmental faculty with Principal on monthly basis. 6. Representation of faculty members in local management committee. The meetings of all these forums take place regularly and minutes are maintained. 7. Conducting periodical test sand industrial visits for the students. 8. - - 5 6. Mechanism / Norms & Procedure for democratic / good Governance The management and administration of the college is totally transparent. Principal conducts meetings of all department heads every week and as and when required for solving regular difficulties and continuous improvement in organization. All issues related to the academic development, carrier development of teachers, development of infrastructure, training and placement of students are thoroughly discussed in the regular departmental meetings as well as meetings of staff with the principal, before implementation at the college level. 7. Student Feedback on Institutional Governance / faculty performance The student’s feedback on the institutional aspects and faculty performance is obtained at the end of each term that is twice in a year. This feedback is based on certain aspects of staff such as punctuality, regularity, communication skill, and knowledge of the respective subject of the teaching staff. The feedback is analyzed at the level of heads of the department and corrective measures are taken whenever required. In addition to this a suggestion box is kept in the administrative office for the students where the students are free to give their opinion. 8. Grievance redressal mechanisms for faculty, staff and students The institute is affiliated to the University of Pune. The university already has a grievance redressal mechanism for the faculty /staff and students. However at the institute level, grievance redressal committee has been formed to deal with the day to day as well as urgent problems of the faculty/staff, students.
