<strong>Industrial</strong> <strong>Visit</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>Rajarambapu</strong> <strong>Group</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Textile</strong> <strong>Industries</strong><br />

We started from <strong>JSPM</strong> Tathwade campus at 5.45 am <strong>to</strong>wards Islampur for visit. After having<br />

breakfast at shrivels at 7.15 am we reached the <strong>Rajarambapu</strong> <strong>Group</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Textile</strong> <strong>Industries</strong> at 11.30<br />

am. After permission and gate pass formality Mr. Poddar and Mr. Patil guided through cot<strong>to</strong>n mill<br />

procession and help us <strong>to</strong> understand working <strong>of</strong> group. Totally main mill and seven sister concern<br />

spread across 80 acres convert raw cot<strong>to</strong>n in<strong>to</strong> final product <strong>of</strong> t shirt.<br />

The Jayant <strong>Group</strong> is a part <strong>of</strong> The <strong>Rajarambapu</strong> <strong>Group</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Textile</strong> <strong>Industries</strong> and is synonymous<br />

with dedication <strong>to</strong> productivity, quality and versatility in the field <strong>of</strong> textile manufacturing. It is one<br />

<strong>of</strong> the few names in the textile manufacturing world <strong>to</strong> house all the necessary equipment and<br />

facilities necessary for spinning, weaving, knitting, yarn dyeing, fabric processing and readymade<br />

garmenting, under one ro<strong>of</strong>. The <strong>Group</strong> believes in the entire chain – from value addition and<br />

We visited following sister concerns <strong>of</strong> <strong>Rajarambapu</strong> <strong>Group</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Textile</strong> <strong>Industries</strong><br />

1. The Shetkari Vinkari Sahkari Soot Girni Ltd.<br />

This is a state-<strong>of</strong> –the-art 25,200 spindles project, with machines from Laxmi Machine Works,<br />

Coimba<strong>to</strong>re and Winding Machines from Murata (Japan) and a labora<strong>to</strong>ry from Premier Inc. The setup<br />

<strong>of</strong> machinery and modern testing equipment results in high production levels and superior quality<br />

<strong>of</strong> yarn. The yarn produced by the mill is accepted by the export markets on all counts <strong>of</strong> quality<br />

standards. The project has been launched in two phases, the first <strong>of</strong> which is complete; 18000<br />

spindles are presently under production. The unit has been awarded 1st prize for the best technical<br />

performance in the first year.<br />

2. Jay Maharashtra Open End Spinning Mills<br />

Open End spinning technology has been used for the production <strong>of</strong> coarser yarn used in the Denim<br />

Fabric. 336 Ro<strong>to</strong>rs supplied by Schlafhorst Au<strong>to</strong> Coro Machines from Germany. Produces counts in<br />

the range <strong>of</strong> 7s <strong>to</strong> 30s having production capacity <strong>of</strong> 2.5 MT per day.<br />

3. Jayant <strong>Textile</strong> Co-op <strong>Industries</strong> Ltd.<br />

Jayant <strong>Textile</strong> Co-op <strong>Industries</strong> Ltd. is engaged in the manufacture <strong>of</strong> Standard and Technical<br />

woven fabric made <strong>of</strong> various types <strong>of</strong> natural, artificial and synthetic yarn and produces fabrics such<br />

as plain, Poplin Twill, Cot<strong>to</strong>n Voile, Corduroy, Herringbone, Crepe Georgette and Satin. The fabrics<br />

are used in areas such as technical textiles, agriculture and construction, shoe industry, clothing, geo<br />

textiles, upholstery, floor coverage, filtration, cleaning, hygiene, medical, au<strong>to</strong>mobile, shipping,<br />

railways and airplanes, environmental protection, packaging, personal protection and sports. A 10<br />

Double Width and 1 Single Width Looms from Somet, Wama tex & Wanli are installed for the<br />

production <strong>of</strong> these fabrics and have a production capacity <strong>of</strong> 75000 metres <strong>of</strong> cloth per month.<br />

4. Indraprastha Knitting & Garments Co-Op <strong>Industries</strong> Ltd.<br />

The unit manufactures knitwear for men, ladies, children and babies. The regular knit structures<br />

manufactured here are: ribbed, jerseys, interlocked, piqued, feeder strips herringbone fleece. 100%<br />

cot<strong>to</strong>n and blended fabrics are produced using Circular Knitting Machines from Myer and Cie. The<br />

manufacturing capacity is 60000kg <strong>of</strong> fabric per month. A sizeable part <strong>of</strong> the production is exported<br />

<strong>to</strong> European Countries and <strong>to</strong> the world’s major fashion Capitals. The unit has a versatile production<br />

capacity and can produce any kind <strong>of</strong> knitted fabric. Two more projects <strong>of</strong> Knit Processing have<br />

been undertaken in order <strong>to</strong> boost the production and add value.


5. Prerna Yarn Dying Co-Op <strong>Industries</strong><br />

The outfit is a state-<strong>of</strong>-the-art dyeing house for yarn having a capacity <strong>of</strong> 3MT per day for dyeing <strong>of</strong><br />

100% cot<strong>to</strong>n yarn. The Fong (Procured from Hong Kong) are high temperature and pressure dyeing<br />

machines and cater <strong>to</strong> cot<strong>to</strong>n as well as polyester yarn.<br />

6. Pratibimb Processing Co-Op <strong>Industries</strong><br />

An ultra modern knit fabric processing plant with facilities for reactive dyeing <strong>of</strong> 100% cot<strong>to</strong>n<br />

knitted fabric. The unit houses the most advanced dyeing machines from Germany, the Squeezer<br />

from Corino, Italy, the Relax Dryer from Salvade, Italy, the Compacting Calender from Lafer, Italy<br />

and a Labora<strong>to</strong>ry from Treepoint, Mathis Switzerland. The production capacity <strong>of</strong> this unit is 4 MT<br />

per day. This is also an environment friendly dyeing unit where we have employed advanced ETP<br />

for effluent treatment.<br />

7. Parivartan Garment Co-op <strong>Industries</strong><br />

The organization’s most high-end garmenting project, this unit has a production capacity <strong>of</strong> 4500<br />

garments per day and houses the most modern and efficient machinery from Japan, Taiwan, China.<br />

Parivartan Garment Coop <strong>Industries</strong> provides complete garmenting solutions from stitching,<br />

finishing, washing, printing <strong>to</strong> embroidering, transforming fabric in<strong>to</strong> fashionable wear. A social<br />

boon, the unit has been structured with the express aim <strong>of</strong> creating employment for women.<br />

<strong>Industrial</strong> <strong>Visit</strong> <strong>to</strong> Chitale Dairy<br />

We reach at Chitale dairy at 4.47 pm after having lunch after hectic visit at <strong>Rajarambapu</strong> <strong>Textile</strong><br />

Park. Chitale Dairy bears the quality tag <strong>of</strong> the Chitale <strong>Group</strong>. The company manufactures and<br />

markets highly functional products. These cutting edge products are manufactured using state-<strong>of</strong>-theart<br />

technology and find applications in day-<strong>to</strong>-day transactions.<br />

They help simplify and hasten processes at their application level<br />

Computerized Plant Begins. Milk is transferred <strong>to</strong> Tanks after chilling. This standardized Milk is<br />

then sent for Pasteurization. The dairy has installed State <strong>of</strong> the Art Bac<strong>to</strong>fuge Separa<strong>to</strong>r, Which<br />

separates Spores and Bacteria from Milk. This is followed by de-aeration <strong>to</strong> remove any unfavorable<br />

odors. This enhances the keeping quality <strong>of</strong> Milk. After pasteurization, Milk is chilled and s<strong>to</strong>red at<br />

2 degree centigrade.<br />

Stringent quality control steps are taken <strong>to</strong> test the milk before and after pasteurization. Milk from<br />

the s<strong>to</strong>rage tanks is tested before it is packed for various Quality parameters. The pasteurized milk is<br />

then /packed in polyethylene pouches, a concept that was pioneered by us in the Indian Dairy sec<strong>to</strong>r.<br />

The crates used for Milk Pouch packing are thoroughly cleaned by specially developed Ultrasonic<br />

assisted Crate washer. Milk is then transported <strong>to</strong> Pune in insulated vans. The <strong>to</strong>tal process from<br />

collection <strong>to</strong> dispatch is completed within the shortest possible time. Our sound distribution network<br />

through “Shivasanthosh Dugdhalay” has continuously ensured punctual delivery <strong>of</strong> milk <strong>to</strong> our<br />

valued cus<strong>to</strong>mers for over four decades. It is the result <strong>of</strong> our efforts and such a long chain <strong>of</strong> careful<br />

planning and execution that milk is brought <strong>to</strong> the consumer day after day for years now. At<br />

Chitales’ 80% <strong>of</strong> the milk is processed as liquid milk while 20% milk is processed for milk products<br />

such as Shrikhand <strong>of</strong> various flavors, Khova, Curd, Cream, Butter, Ghee, Milk Powder and Other<br />

Dairy Products.<br />

After completion <strong>of</strong> every process respective pipelines, s<strong>to</strong>rage tanks and machinery are thoroughly<br />

cleaned by Fully Au<strong>to</strong>mated Cleaning in Place System. Parameters such as Temperature, Flow Rate,<br />

Cleaning Solution Strength and Duration <strong>of</strong> Cleaning are strictly moni<strong>to</strong>red. Water required in the<br />

dairy undergoes various treatments such as clarification, filtration, s<strong>of</strong>tening, and Ultra-filtration and<br />

reverse osmosis before use. Every Equipment and Machinery employed right from collection <strong>of</strong> Raw<br />

Milk <strong>to</strong> Dispatch <strong>of</strong> Finished Products is <strong>of</strong> International Quality. All the mechanical operations,<br />

processes in, Pasteurization Plant, C.I.P. System, and Chilling plants, Boilers etc. in the Dairy are<br />

controlled from Central Server through Logix Platform via Control net Bus system.<br />
