(a) Board of Directors DAVID RODGERS – Chair Occupation: Company Director Other Lets Go Travel Ltd (non-exec) Directorships: Peninsula Media Ltd (chair) Background: David Rodgers has worked in broadcasting in the Westcountry all his adult life, for both the BBC and commercial sector. In 1989 he became the founding managing director of Orchard FM in Somerset. Orchard was conceived in a boom but launched in a recession, tough lessons were learned the hard way and hungry predators were vigorously fought off! The company remained independent and was turned around, evolving into Orchard Media. It went on to become an important ingredient of the winning applicant groups for Lantern FM in North Devon and Wessex FM in Dorset. In 1993 Orchard Media was the driving force behind the successful Gemini Radio bid for the South & East Devon licences then held by DevonAir Radio. Orchard Media stations had some of the best audience figures and margins on the network and flourished as an independent company for ten years until it was sold in 1999. Since then David has concentrated on developing new businesses in his home patch, notably Lets Go Travel, which he has helped grow from a small North Devon travel agent into a serious regional player. The company employs over 200 staff with turnover exceeding £40 million per annum. Lets Go Travel continues to grow in the region and has won many industry awards for innovation. In 1999 David was asked to chair the Lloyds/TSB South West Olympic Appeal which raised funds to enable the British “Team 2000” to acclimatize and train in Africa before heading on to Sydney for the games themselves. Having lived in the city all his adult life, David is inspired by Plymouth’s unique history and passionate about its exciting future, the city is fast developing. He also believes that Plymouth should have a great local radio station, one that applauds the city’s successes but is not afraid to challenge its shortcomings. He is determined that, if awarded the licence, Radio Plymouth should be just such a station. 4

Peninsula Finance plc. Background: Paul is 42 and following school started off as a trainee journalist with West of England Newspapers before embarking on a law degree at Cardiff University. On graduation he started his legal career with Bond Pearce in their Plymouth office as a trainee solicitor. Upon qualifying he remained with the firm in their commercial department for two years before moving to New Zealand for 12 months to travel the country, working on sheep farms to pay his way. Upon his return he joined another local legal practice in Plymouth, handling both residential and commercial property, before joining Gill Akaster in 1996. In 1997 Paul was made a partner and in 2001 he was asked to become an equity partner having developed the residential conveyancing department into one of the largest operations south of Bristol. Paul is also one of the founder directors of Peninsula Finance plc. Paul’s family has long had an association with the media industry in Plymouth. His father, Bob Hussell, was the founder and managing director of Plymouth Sound until his untimely death. Paul joined the founding board of Radio Plymouth three years ago and has been delighted to contribute in a legal capacity over the intervening period. 5
