Our School Vision Vision Mary MacKillop Primary School, Narre Warren Nth Our school, inspired by the person of St of the Cross Mary MacKillop: Is a Catholic community, where God’s love is experienced, shared and celebrated. Is a supportive community where quality relationships are nurtured, strong partnerships are valued, achievements celebrated and challenges embraced. Is a learning community growing together; where all are engaged, empowered and encouraged to develop a love of learning. Mission Statement Mary MacKillop Primary School, Narre Warren Nth, is a Catholic primary school for the children of Narre Warren Parish. Our staff is committed to the evangelizing mission of the Parish and to the spiritual tradition and charisms of St Mary MacKillop. Our school community embraces the call to God’s mission in the spiritual tradition of the Sisters of St Joseph with Mary MacKillop as their founder. Therefore, with trust in the providence of God, the school endeavours to nurture in students the capacity and desire to respond to the needs of our time with faith and courage. In the words of St Mary MacKillop we strive to “Never see a need without doing something about it.” Our school is committed to developing a learning community for all of its members. The school undertakes to develop in the students their cognitive, affective and spiritual skills, to enable them to find God in all things, to enable them to live out their vocation in life according to the variety of their gifts. 2011 Annual Report to the School Community 3
