If something isn’t clear, please visit us at www.bugaboo.com.
• Do not assemble or use the
Bugaboo Bee until you have read
the userguide.
• Additional warnings and safety
information appear in the assembly,
use and accessory sections of this
• Check that all components
(e.g. chassis, seat attachment devices)
• The wrist strap must be worn at all times.

• The Bugaboo Bee is not intended for
children in excess of 7 kg / 7.5 lbs or
05 cm / 4 . inches. Excessive weight
may cause a hazardous unstable
condition to exist. The product will
become unstable if the manufacturer’s
recommended load is exceeded.
• Do not carry more than one child in the
Bugaboo Bee.
• Always use the safety features of your
Bugaboo Bee, including locking devices,
brake, the harness (when child is in the
seat) and the wrist strap attached to the
handlebar (see this userguide for
additional information). Check and
maintain all safety features frequently.
• Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding
out. Always use the harness (see this
userguide for additional information on
use of the harness system).
• For any child unable to maintain an
unaided sitting position the backrest
should only be used in the most
reclined position.
• When adjusting the Bugaboo Bee,
make sure your child is clear from
any moving objects, otherwise they
may be injured.
• Never leave your child unattended.
Always keep your child in view while
you’ll need to squeeze the lock while you
change the position. The Bugaboo Bee has
four positions, from upright to reclining,
to suit your child’s mood or activity.
adjusting the harness
It is essential for both comfort and safety that the
harness is always a snug fit.
to adjust the shoulder height of
the harness:
The straps should attach to the backrest, level with
the top of a child’s shoulders or slightly higher.
2
Pull the white harness toggles away from
the backrest by pushing the clips that hold
them in place at the front of the backrest.
Twist the toggles so they feed through
the holes.
Reinsert the toggles at the preferred height
and click them into place to secure.
The harness must be adjusted to fit your
child and must be properly secured.
Always use the harness to avoid
serious injury from falling or sliding out.
to adjust the waist straps:
The harness has indicators (I and II) to help
you get the right tightness for your child’s
size. For a smaller child, the ‘I’ setting on
the waist strap will ensure a snug fit. As the
child grows bigger, slide the strap along
to the ‘II’ setting. Position the number in the
middle of the slider.

adjusting the sun canopy
Children are so excitable; one moment they’re up and active,
the next they’re tired and irritable.
The Bugaboo Bee comes with an adjustable sun
canopy allowing privacy while your child has
a well-deserved nap, or offering protection on
sunny or windy days.
NOTE The sun canopy will fit the Bugaboo Bee for
a child with a maximum bottom-to-head length of
5 cm/20. inches.
To adjust the sun canopy, pull at the wire
frame. There are three positions: closed ( ),
halfway open (2) or fully open ( ).
WARNING
Children have very sensitive skin. Never
put a child in the Bugaboo Bee in direct
locking the wheels
Gravel or uneven surfaces can be tough to travel over with swivel wheels,
especially when pushing the Bugaboo Bee with heavy shopping in the
underseat basket. To help relieve this problem the Bugaboo Bee’s front
wheels can be locked.
2
2
Line up the swivel wheels so that the
kneecaps are facing forwards.
Above each of the Bugaboo Bee’s front
kneecaps is a white wheel lock. Squeeze
each one and slide it upwards until they
click. This will lock the wheels and they will
no longer swivel.
To unlock, squeeze and slide the wheel
locks down.

turning the seat unit
You know what makes your child happy - either facing you or watching
the world go by. You can turn the seat to suit their mood.
NOTE Even if the seat unit of your Bugaboo Bee
is facing you to begin with (rather than facing the
world as shown in the illustrations) the instructions
given to turn the seat unit are the same.
WARNING
The seat is not intended to be used
as a carry seat or for any purpose
other than in conjunction with the
attaching the rain cover
Come rain or shine, the Bugaboo Bee can protect a child in any
the child dry, warm and comfortable.
Pull the rain cover over the sun canopy so
that the Bugaboo label on the rain cover
lines up with the Bugaboo label on the
Bugaboo Bee. It should fit snugly.
The rain cover has an elastic loop and a
hook on each side. Fasten these together
around the Bugaboo Bee chassis to secure
the rain cover in place.
Attach the touch fasteners around the chassis
just above the wheels for extra security.
6
7
Adjust the touch fastener in the middle
of the rain cover to adapt the cover to the
chosen seat position.
By attaching the touch fasteners you create
an air vent.
NOTE The rain cover will fit the Bugaboo Bee for
a child with a maximum bottom-to-head length
of 5 cm/20. inches.

WARNING
To prevent your child from overheating,
do not leave them under the rain cover
