The best pressure sensors have been combined with ease of operation in a new stainless steel housing. To do this, it needs to implement energy-efficient processes and technologies as quickly and on as wide a scale as possible. The INTERKAMA+ tradeshow at HANNOVER MESSE 2009 (April 20 to 24) is gearing up to make a contribution of global significance in this area via its "Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes" display. HAN- NOVER MESSE 2009 will identify and quantify the main areas of production in which energy use can be optimized and savings achieved. Low Voltage Motor Drives Market Expected to Grow During Downturn According to the latest statistics from IMS Research, the worldwide market for low voltage AC & DC motor drives experienced unprecedented revenue growth in 2007, increasing by 19.7% over 2006 levels. Data reported by leading drives suppliers indicate all regions and industry segments exhibited strong growth during the year. The market is expected to continue performing well despite the global economic downturn, with positive growth forecast for both 2008 and 2009, when annual revenue growth should bottom out at 3.7%. High energy prices and an increased focus on energy efficiency will maintain positive growth of market revenues, which are expected to increase by an average annual rate of 10.4% throughout the forecast period to reach an estimated value of $13.6 billion by 2012. Wireless Cooperation Team Marks Progress The Fieldbus Foundation today announced that the Wireless Cooperation Team (WCT), one year after its formation, has achieved a number of milestones toward the development of an interface specification and compliance guidelines to integrate a universally accepted wireless solution into the HART, Foundation fieldbus, PROFIBUS and PROFINET communications networks. The common interface is intended to make it easier for automation end-users to take advantage of evolving wireless technologies. The collaborative effort of the WCT is sponsored by the Fieldbus Foundation, HART Communication Foundation, and Profibus Nutzerorganisation e.V. (PNO), to facilitate the acceptance of wireless technology in the manufacturing and process industries worldwide. WIN 1 Closed its Doors with 8% More Exhibitors Organized by Hannover Messe Bilesim Fuarcilik A.S., the first part of WIN - World of Industry - welcomed thousands of professionals from all over the world and neighboring countries in particular between 5 - 8 February 2009 at TUYAP Fair and Congress Center, Istanbul, Turkey. The show proved to be a good meeting place in the Eurasian and Middle Eastern Regions with 8% more exhibiting companies compared to last year and represented brands as well as supporting companies. Flow Sensors without moving parts The soniQ is a solid state flow sensor. The medium just flows through a straight stainless steel pipe. The ultrasonic transducers are positioned on the outer surface of the pipe and therefore not in contact with the medium.
