5.4.2 Disposal and treatment
The disposal site is located at Nanjyampalayam which is located within Dharapuram.
It has an area of 10.18 Acres. Waste collected in the collection points are transported
through Municipal vehicles and dumped at the disposal site. Dharapuram health
department has the staff strength of 1 health officer, 4 sanitary inspectors, 7 sanitary
supervisors, 101 sanitary workers and 5 drivers for keeping the town clean and green.
As a part of secondary collection system, 3 numbers of Lorries and 2 covered dumper
placers are in operation for solid waste and one sullage lorry for cleaning septic tanks.
