Who's Who is leading
scorer in CAL league
Who's Who frotn Ocean City
High School this week is
Michael Linahan. He is widely
known throughout the school as
being a player on the Ocean
City Red Raider varsity football
team His position on the
team is tailback
Mike' 1 ! past hiaory in football
is gret ly similar to various
other members of the team He
played on the Hawks in his
iiventh and eighth grade
school years. In his freshman
year he played on the freshman
team and was on the starting
lineup varsity last year as a
sophomore
Commenting about the team
this year thus far, Mikn says,
'"Hiis is one of the best learns
we have ever had and 1 think we
will be able to go undefeated if
we can upset fluena Regional
Mike's football statistics so
far this season have been four
touchdowns in the opening
game against Jackson
Memorial, three against St
Joe'i of Hammonron and one
against Wildwood The total of
eight touchdowns makes him
the leading scorer on the team
thus far "t think I have been
working to my full potential so
far this year but without the
help of these guys I certainly
wouldn't be able to do it We
have a great offensive line
which is benefiting greatly

This summer, the ultimate in
fun entertainment appeared on
the silver screen Twentieth
Century Fox's The Three
Musketeers is just that, a fun
movie that's completely entertaining.
Styled with great
talent and humor, The Three
Musketeers follows to some
txtent the original Alexandre
Dumas classic. Artistically
done, thi film captures the
chivalry, romanticism, and
heroism of the era.
Set in France in the 17th
century, three of King Louis
Kill's (Jean-Pierre Cassel)
musketeers, Athos (Oliver
Reed), Porthos (Richard
Chamberlain) and Aramis
(Frank FinJiy), latch onto the
naive D'Artagnan (Michael
York), who is working at
becoming a musketeer
D'Artafnan falls in love with
the beautiful maidentiitonslanee
(Raquel Welch) who is the
queen's (Geraldine Chaplin)
confidante, Constance is the
liaison between the queen and
her lover, England's Duke of
Buckingham (Simon Ward).
Archvillam Cardinal Richelieu
(Charlton Heslon), out to get
the pods on the queen, assigns
number two villain Rochefort
(Christopher Lee) to do his
bidding and arrest Constance
Richelieu also assigns ar
chvtllaineii Milady (Faye
Dunaway) to seduce the Duke
and get the queen's diamonds.
The diamonds being a secret
gift to the duke from the queen
would prove the queen's
infidelity to the king
Jhe ail star cast makes the
film even more enticing and
more fun. Musketeers Reed,
Chamberlain, and Finlay carry
their parts admirably, and
York is an excellent D'Artagnan,
Mils Welch does a high
quality job as the innocent but
clumsy Constance, and there is
superior acting by Dunaway,
Helton and Lee as the three
villains.
The highlights of the film
include a magnificently funny
duel between the Musketeers
and the Cardinal's guards in the
royal laundry room; a tricky
con job by the Musketeers in a
tavern in order to get food, an
antical duel during a
fireworks display, and a

throwin', brawl between Welch
and Dunaway
The movie was filmed in
Spain, featuring the nation's
beautiful countryside The
movie has lavish and realistic
sets including those of the court
of Louis XIII. There are scenes
of the lustrous taverns and
streets of Paris, magnificently
designed costumes, excellent
acting, an expert direction by
Richard Lester makes The
Three Musketeers the grand
film spectacular that it is.
"TheThrte Musketaefs" was
originally shot as a four hour
movie but was cut in half. The
second half is to be released as
a sequel and will be entitled
"The Revenge of Milady".
College night
held in A,C.
Haddon Hall, in Atlantic City,
was the location of this year's
annual College Night. Held in
the Pennsylvania Room of the
hotel, students from area high
schools had a chance to receive
literature about colleges of
their choice, talk to
representatives, and get information
about applications
and financial aid
College Night was sponsored
by the kiwanis Club of Atlantic
City and the Atlantic City
Branch of the American
Association of University
Women lAAUW). The affair
was opened with a greeting
from Constantino Rauzzino,
president of the Kiwanis Club,
He stressed the fact that
College Night was a chance for
all students to talk with admissions
representatives and
get an idea of what the college
was like Mrs Chester
Everleth, AAUW President,
and Joseph C. Bloh, College
Night Chairman, then gave the
guests direct ions and additional
information
There were over 150 colleges
and universities represented.
The atmosphere was informal,
and the guests could go see
exactly what college he was
interested in Most colleges had
pamphlets. Many also had past
yearbooks.,, photo albums and
slides to enable the student to
visualize life at the particular
college
