EXHIBITIoNS March 1-25 INSIGHTS II In 2012, BAC collaborated with an extraordinary group of artists and advocates to present Insights: Work by Artists with Disabilities. The exhibition pumped so much energy into our year that we had to stage a reprisal with Insights II. March 29-april 22 DIGITAL ART: A NEw GENERATIoN Digital technologies are transforming contemporary fine art and have become a powerful addition to many artists’ mixed media tool kits. This exhibition demonstrates the inventive, multidimensional array of what’s possible, from collage to encaustic to prints. Jeff Brice, Robert Campbell, Nichole DeMent, Dionne Haroutunian, Iskra Johnson, Amanda Knowles, Claudia Meyer-Newman, Barbara Robertson, Stephen Rock, Karin Schminke, and Barbara Wilson. LARRY HALvoRSEN: NEw woRk Applying his signature sgraffito carving technique to ceramic vessels, tables, totems, and wall work, Larry Halvorsen uses primitive patterns to strikingly modern effect. 4 CURRENTS SPRING 2013 BAINBRIDGE ARTS AND CRAFTS THE ELEvENTH ANNUAL ARTISTS’ ALmoST PERFECT SALE APRIL 25-28 | THuRSdAY – SATuRdAY 10 A.M. May 3-June 3 wES mCCLAIN In 2006, ninth grader Wes McClain submitted a print to BAC’s annual Mixed Nuts exhibition. We’ve loved him ever since. A printmaker of depth and maturity, Wes constantly experiments with new techniques that result in works of grace and intimacy. kRISTIN ToLLEFSoN Kristin Tollefson is nationally known for her public art, which seamlessly blends the industrial and the organic. This exhibition finds her equally at home weaving and welding smaller-scale pieces in wood, metal, fabric, and found materials, all of which reference the natural world.
