Tourism <strong>Opportunities</strong>: Outer Coast<br />

• consider target client (eco based specific lodge development)<br />

• consider funding partnerships with target specific groups (agencies for lodge<br />

development)<br />

• develop <strong>and</strong> deliver service oriented training programs that will increase local<br />

employment in the industry<br />

• encourage existing lodges to hire a larger local component from communities<br />

• develop <strong>and</strong> deliver eco tourism certified nature guide programs<br />

• develop <strong>and</strong> deliver business management programs to ensure the entrepreneurs have<br />

the tools to run a successful business<br />

• ensure government guaranteed loans are available for business startups<br />

• ensure mentoring programs are in place to assist entrepreneur for a one year period<br />

• Provincial government (Parks) <strong>and</strong> local communities work together to allow for park<br />

fees to be paid to local communities within the area<br />
