Gimmick Rally & Lighthouse Tour June 19, 2011 Port San Luis Lighthouse Join the fun on an easy gimmick rally tour to the Port San Luis Lighthouse. There will be clues along the tour to be answered at the famous old lighthouse. In 2010 we had to turn people away because of the limited space, so we are doing the tour again with a different gimmick rally. So please respond soon to reserve your spot. The San Luis Lighthouse is perched on a hill overlooking one of the most beautiful coastlines of California. It has been closed to visitors for several years, and then only to a few hikers that braved the 2-½ mile trail. The Porsche adventurers will be taken by bus to the top of the hill and the lighthouse. We will be taken on a private tour of the newly restored lighthouse, completely furnished in period furniture. We will then visit the “Horn House.” A private lunch will be served with coffee and drinks included on linen covered tables. While dining you will be able to watch the crashing surf on the rocks below. A short hike to the private beach that served as the supply point for the lighthouse is an option for those that would be interested. We will meet at the “Black Horse Coffee and Bakery” at 08:30 AM, located at 3590 Broad St. SLO. Bring layers of clothing, because the weather can be cool at the lighthouse. Wear comfortable shoes, since there are stairs in the lighthouse. The cost for all of this is $40.00 per person including your lunch. Space is limited so reserve early. This is a fundraiser for the lighthouse. Make your checks to: “Point San Luis Lighthouse Keepers” and not to PCA.This is a non-profit organization, so speak to your accountant.
