Greetings, Sky Hawk Families!
Spring break is upon us and things will clip along at a rapid pace once we return from a well-deserved
break. Below is a list of events you can expect to hear about once all the hawks are back in the nest:
MSP testing begins April 25.
Track Season begins April 9.
Spirit Week April 9-13!
Students will select exploratory flex classes that will begin May 7.
In the meantime, I hope that this newsletter finds you enjoying some sunshine and quality time with
your families. We look forward to a productive and invigorating spring!

SKYRIDGE SCIENCE OLYMPIAD’S
QUALIFY FOR STATE COMPETITION
For the second consecutive year, our Sky Hawk Science
Olympiad Team will be competing in the Washington State
Tournament. Cheer them on as they represent us at Eastern
Washington College on Saturday, April 14!
MSP TESTING – April 25 through June 1
The state mandated Measurement of Student Progress testing
will occur during the above dates. Please help support your
student’s success by making sure that your student is at
school throughout this testing timeframe.

campus, you are required to make arrangements in advance
for their absence from school.

Program – The Guaranteed Education Tuition (GET )
Program. Bring your questions for a time of
information, discussion, and Q&A. This session will also
include resources for making college savings fit into your
budget with GET and other options! This program is
being sponsored by the Guaranteed Education Tuition
(GET) Program.

Skyward Family Access
Do you know that you can customize Skyward Family
Access to automatically provide you with grade
notifications via email?
Here’s how:
1. Go to the Skyward Family Access home page
2. Enter your login and password
3. On the left hand side of the page click “Email
Notifications” from the menu on the right
4. From the menu on the right, click: “Change
My Notifications” – then press “Save”
You will then have two options:
Option 1 – Receive an Email Notification if Grade is
Below 69%. You will be emailed if your student
receives an assignment score less than 69% OR if
his/her class grade drops below 69% (your choice).
Also, you will need to choose whether you want
notification on a monthly, weekly, or daily basis.
(Monthly notifications are sent out at the beginning
of the month and weekly are sent out on Saturdays).
Option 2 – Receive a Full Student “Progress Report.”
You will receive a progress report that includes
grades for all of your student’s classes which
resembles a report card. Each class will have a
corresponding grade instead of a percentage. You
will select to receive these updates monthly, weekly
or daily.

Teen Read Cafe Book Discussion Group: for
7 th grade and up! Borrow a special copy of the book
from the library, you read it, you come to the
meeting, and then you get to keep the book for
free! Sign-up required. Snacks and an activity, too!
