Greetings, Sky Hawk Families!<br />

Spring break is upon us and things will clip along at a rapid pace once we return from a well-deserved<br />

break. Below is a list of events you can expect to hear about once all the hawks are back in the nest:<br />

MSP testing begins April 25.<br />

Track Season begins April 9.<br />

Spirit Week April 9-13!<br />

Students will select exploratory flex classes that will begin May 7.<br />

In the meantime, I hope that this newsletter finds you enjoying some sunshine and quality time with<br />

your families. We look forward to a productive and invigorating spring!<br />

SKYRIDGE SCIENCE OLYMPIAD’S<br />

QUALIFY FOR STATE COMPETITION<br />

For the second consecutive year, our Sky Hawk Science<br />

Olympiad Team will be competing in the Washington State<br />

Tournament. Cheer them on as they represent us at Eastern<br />

Washington College on Saturday, April 14!<br />

MSP TESTING – April 25 through June 1<br />

The state mandated Measurement of Student Progress testing<br />

will occur during the above dates. Please help support your<br />

student’s success by making sure that your student is at<br />

school throughout this testing timeframe.<br />

Skyward Family Access<br />

Do you know that you can customize Skyward Family<br />

Access to automatically provide you with grade<br />

notifications via email?<br />

Here’s how:<br />

1. Go to the Skyward Family Access home page<br />

2. Enter your login and password<br />

3. On the left hand side of the page click “Email<br />

Notifications” from the menu on the right<br />

4. From the menu on the right, click: “Change<br />

My Notifications” – then press “Save”<br />

You will then have two options:<br />

Option 1 – Receive an Email Notification if Grade is<br />

Below 69%. You will be emailed if your student<br />

receives an assignment score less than 69% OR if<br />

his/her class grade drops below 69% (your choice).<br />

Also, you will need to choose whether you want<br />

notification on a monthly, weekly, or daily basis.<br />

(Monthly notifications are sent out at the beginning<br />

of the month and weekly are sent out on Saturdays).<br />

Option 2 – Receive a Full Student “Progress Report.”<br />

You will receive a progress report that includes<br />

grades for all of your student’s classes which<br />

resembles a report card. Each class will have a<br />

corresponding grade instead of a percentage. You<br />

will select to receive these updates monthly, weekly<br />

or daily.<br />

Teen Read Cafe Book Discussion Group: for<br />

7 th grade and up! Borrow a special copy of the book<br />

from the library, you read it, you come to the<br />

meeting, and then you get to keep the book for<br />

free! Sign-up required. Snacks and an activity, too!<br />
