Thermostats<br />
We’ve all been there before. You’ve just stepped into<br />
the shower when someone else in the house either<br />
turns on a faucet or flushes the toilet; suddenly the<br />
temperature of your shower plummets or becomes<br />
scalding hot – leaving you with soap in your eyes as<br />
you try to manually adjust the temperature back to a<br />
comfortable level. Install a <strong>GROHE</strong> thermostat <strong>and</strong> you<br />
can be sure of a safe <strong>and</strong> enjoyable showering<br />
experience every time.<br />
What’s inside?<br />
Thermostatic valves work by constantly mixing hot <strong>and</strong><br />
cold water to a pre-selected temperature. Even if there<br />
is a change in the water supply, the thermostat reacts<br />
by rebalancing the quantities of hot <strong>and</strong> cold water to<br />
maintain the correct temperature. In most extreme<br />
cases, i.e. should the cold water supply fail, the hot<br />
water shuts off automatically to prevent scalding.<br />
Style choices<br />
<strong>GROHE</strong> offers concealed <strong>and</strong> surface-mounted<br />
thermostats. With concealed models, the valve<br />
is installed behind the wall for a flush look. With<br />
surface-mounted thermostats, only the pipe work<br />
is behind the wall.<br />

intuitive to use <strong>and</strong> cater to the entire family, whatever<br />
their height is, while the AquaDimmer allows you to<br />
