Our products are manufactured from high-quality
materials and exceed the highest international
standards. They undergo several quality controls
before leaving our factories and are subjected
to some of the most demanding tests in the industry.
Exceeding industry standards
Industry standards are only the basis for our qualityminded
approach. To ensure performance and
longevity, all components and products are subjected
to numerous tests in our three laboratories: Function
test laboratory, Material and process technology
laboratory and Life-testing laboratory.
Our Life-testing laboratory is located in Lahr, in
Germany’s Black Forest – an area known for
its exceptionally hard water. It is here, under
challenging conditions, that GROHE faucets, showers,
thermostats and related components are subjected
to endurance tests. These tests simulate 15 years
of daily usage and the effects of wear, lime scale and
material ageing.
GROHE quality goes beyond product durability. Should
a product be discontinued, all spare parts will remain
available for 10 years.
World-leading technologies
In addition to rigorous internal tests, many of
our products compete in independent tests, which
compare their performance and our technologies
against similar products manufactured by
our competitors.
In a challenging mechanical endurance test for single
lever mixers, conducted by TÜV SÜD, GROHE competed
against nine products from other renowned
international manufacturers. The result – GROHE
Eurodisc was the clear test winner. This success can be
attributed to GROHE SilkMove® technology and GROHE
faucet cartridges which feature across all our ranges.
Our thermostats also came out on top in tests
carried out by LGA QualiTest GmbH, which compared
17 thermostats from leading European manufacturers.
In the three classes our Grohtherm 3000, 2000 and
1000 thermostats each achieved 1st place. Thanks
to GROHE TurboStat® and GROHE CoolTouch®
technologies, our Grohtherm 3000 won best product
in the entire test – achieving the top position in four
test categories. All GROHE thermostats feature
the award-winning GROHE TurboStat® technology
– ensuring safety and comfort in the shower, due
its fast response to any changes in water pressure.
Award-winning manufacturing
The GROHE plant in Hemer emerged as one of the
winners of the “Die beste Fabrik” (“Best Factory”)
competition organized by leading business magazine
WirtschaftsWoche. A high-caliber jury composed
of scientists and experts evaluated all processes
from the production fl oor to the supply chain, with the
GROHE factory scoring excellent results particularly
in terms of customer orientation and innovation.
