15.3 Preventive Maintenance Agreement
The Preventive Maintenance Service is our standard
recommended maintenance program where maintenance
is done at the correct intervals based on
the ages, usage and application to your tools and
equipment. Maintenance work is carried out either on
your premises or in our central workshop with a fi xed
annual maintenance cost. We also take care of all
planning and data storage during the agreement.
Any additional work found during maintenance is
quoted on a fi xed price basis for completion at either
the next visit or at an Atlas Copco workshop.
15.4 Fixed Price Repair Agreement
In the Fixed Price Agreement you will get a fi xed price
list for repair of your tools to avoid quoting every single
repair. Our experience is that the quoting/ordering
process at many customers can delay the repair for
weeks or even months in some cases. In most markets
we have a local standard fi xed price list for this, but we
also do agreements with a single customer both locally
and globally. The fi xed price repair is a standard repair
routine that allows for quick repairs and less administration
with the benefi t for the customer. Atlas Copco
service box system is very often used in combination
with these agreements. It is especially suitable for our
air tools where the tools not only get repaired but also
receive a preventive maintenance to bring them up to
full performance. This type of service agreement has
showed lower MTBF (mean time between failure) as
well as lower total LCC (life cycle cost).
15.5 Calibration Services
On the assembly line, you need to be certain about
the performance of your power tools and equipment.
The tools have to be calibrated at regular intervals.
These services keep your transducerized tools and
torque measurement equipment calibrated for optimum
performance. Atlas Copco offers a complete range of
calibration services for all your tools and equipment.
Most Atlas Copco Service Centers are today ISO 9000
certifi ed.
15.6 ToolScan TM
Our ToolScan is an effi cient method of precisely
recording the status of your tools, regardless of whether
your service requirement is currently covered internally
or by an external service provider.
After an appointment is agreed, an
experienced member of the Atlas
Copco Service Team will visit your
company at a time convenient to
your production routine. You can
decide whether the measurements
are to be taken at the production
line itself or at a separate station.
This service provides an overall
picture of the tools being used in your production and is
especially useful for those customers who do not have
their maintenance work carried out regularly by the
manufacturer – and all for a fi xed price.
15.7 Training and workshops
We offer an established program of training courses and
workshops to guarantee optimized use of your tools.
These workshops can be held either on your own
premises or in our Training Centre (please contact your
local Customer Center).
15.8 ToolStart
We offer tool installation and start-up by qualifi ed Atlas
Copco engineers at a fi xed price. The service also
