How do I know when my licence is ready
We will call you to let you know as soon as
it is ready.
WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR A
NEW LICENCE?
• Fully completed application form which should
include your company stamp and signature.
• Photocopy of your passport with valid
residence visa.
• Photocopy of your labour contract as issued by the
Ministry of Laour.
• Photocopy of your tenancy contract.
• One passport photograph.
• CID application fee of AED 150.*
*Fee refundable on issue of licence as a voucher
to spend at MMI worth AED 150.
WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED TO RENEW
MY LICENCE?
• Fully completed application form which should
include your company stamp and signature.
• Photocopy of your passport including valid
residence visa. If you have changed your
sponsorship, you will need a ‘no objection’
letter from your new sponsor.
• Photocopy of your tenancy contract.
• Your expired card.
• CID application fee of AED 150.*
ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
• Licences are valid for one year. We will alert you
when your licence is due for renewal.
• MMI will process your application, so you do not
need to visit Dubai Police HQ.
• The tenancy contract must be in the name of the
applicant. If sharing accommodation, the lease
holder must submit a letter of ‘no objection’ and
provide their passport and tenancy contract copies.
• If company accommodation is provided, a letter of
‘no objection’ is required from the company.
• Applicants sponsored by a free zone company
must submit a salary certificate from that free
zone, regardless of position.
• A company signature and stamp is required on all
application forms.
• Married women wishing to share their husband’s
licence must provide a photocopy of their
passport including their valid residence permit
along with a passport photograph.
• Female applicants must be single and Dubai
residents.
• Applicants with visas issued in other Emirates
must get a ‘no objection’ letter from the
respective Emirate’s CID.
