Corporate Social Responsibility
Konsortium Logistik Berhad (“KLB”) develops and maintains
policies and practices that promote a positive and sustainable
environment and social contribution to the communities in which
we operate.
KLB’s business philosophy emphasises this commitment to legal
compliance, continuous innovation and social responsibility.
COMMITMENT TO ORGANISATION AND COMMUNITY
The Management of KLB takes pride with the fact that while it still
cares about contributing to the community nothing can be more
significant than touching the lives of our own employees. With
that in mind, KLB continues to generate programmes that improve
the quality of life of our employees and opening up educational
opportunities for their children.
The Company organises a sporting event annually where teams
from all Divisions participate in friendly competitive games such
as futsal, netball, volleyball, sepak takraw, bowling, badminton and
table tennis.
The Company also introduced subsidised meals for its employees.
In-house cafeterias are established to provide staff with a clean and
convenient environment for them to have their meals and at the
same time to promote greater interaction and closer rapport among
its people.
The Company actively supports important initiatives in those
communities where our employees live and work throughout the
nation. Amongst other activities KLB has organised in the past
included the Blood Donation Drive, Gotong Royong at “Rumah
Seri Kenangan” Cheras for old folk home, Career Fair organised by
Penang and Tapah labour office, Majlis Berkhatan and programme
“Anak Angkat for our Prime Mover’s Driver”.
COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT
The Company strives for the health and safety of all individuals
affected by our activities, including our employees, contractors and
the public. Our management and employees are responsible and
accountable for contributing towards a safe working environment
including fostering safe working attitudes and operating in an
environmentally friendly manner.
The Company continues to support the Earth Hour Campaign and
be a corporate social citizen of the environment on a daily basis by
switching off lights and air-conditioning throughout the lunch hour.
