Troubleshooting<br />
If... Try one or more the following<br />
Picture is too dark. ■ Turn on the flash (page 8).<br />
Camera does not<br />
recognize<br />
SD/MMC card.<br />
Camera freezes up<br />
when a card is<br />
inserted or<br />
removed.<br />
■ Move so there is no more than 11.8 ft (3.6 m) in wide angle and<br />
6.9 ft (2.1 m) in telephoto between the <strong>camera</strong> and the subject.<br />
■ Use Fill flash (page 8) or change your position so light is not behind<br />
the subject.<br />
■ Increase Exposure Compensation (page 22).<br />
■ Purchase a certified SD/MMC card.<br />
■ Reformat the card (page 25).<br />
Caution: Formatting a card deletes all pictures and videos,<br />
including protected files.<br />
■ Insert a card into the slot, then push to seat (page 3).<br />
■ Turn the <strong>camera</strong> off, then back on. Make sure the <strong>camera</strong> is turned off<br />
before inserting or removing a card.<br />
Memory card full. ■ Insert a new card (page 3), transfer pictures to the computer<br />
(page 13), or delete pictures (page 11).<br />
