June Swoon Wine Tour by Paul Fasching<br />
On June 13th we fired up the garage queen and ventured out into the sunlight<br />
for a wine tour. This one went to the southern section <strong>of</strong> CCCR and covered three<br />
Santa Barbara county wineries, Cambria, Curtis and Firestone.<br />
We met about 15 cars with 30 people in Nippomo and picked up our box lunches for use<br />
later. After a short visit we took <strong>of</strong>f for nice touring roads we hadn’t been on in a while and<br />
for some tasting at wineries that we had not been to in an equally long time. The itinerary<br />
took us first to Cambria, then on to Curtis, where we had a tasting in the trees and cracked open<br />
our box lunches. Lastly, we hit Firestone where our tasting was preceded by an informative tour<br />
<strong>of</strong> a vineyard and the wine making facilities.<br />
It was a beautiful day, the top was down and we were not in the LA basin. What else can I say? What<br />
else need I say? The pictures pretty much tell the tale.<br />
