Art Exhibitions - Louise Blouin Institute
The Foundation believes that art and culture are tools of global diplomacy. To that end, the Foundation and
the Louise Blouin Institute host contemporary-art exhibitions of leading artists that provide commentary
and insight into the issues and challenges presented by globalization. For instance, the current exhibition at
the Institute, “Cold War Aesthetics”, is of works by renowned contemporary Chinese artist Wang Guangyi.
The works on display are both metaphors for the past that we have avoided and warnings to world super
powers about the potential emergence of cold war mentality. In the short and medium term, the Foundation
is looking to feature emerging African, Chinese, Russian and Middle Eastern artists. The Foundation will also
promote ArtInfo.com as a site which can host artists and art galleries from these regions and countries.
