The training programme
Outline of the training programme
Each training programme consists of several
courses. All courses can be followed as
stand-alone, but a training programme is
designed to facilitate various combinations
to build skills within a specific interest area.
It is also possible to combine courses from
different training programmes. This set-up
allows for individual packages, tailored to the
specific requirements of the participants. For

The IAC
The International Agricultural Centre (IAC) is
affiliated to Wageningen University and
Research Centre. The IAC builds capacity
and supports innovation for sustainable
development in the agriculture, food, rural
development and natural resources
management sectors.

A limited number of fellowships is available
from the Netherlands Fellowship Programme
(NFP) for nationals of a number of
developing countries.

Most courses are designed for mid-career
professionals, in government, nongovernment,
commercial as well as research
and training organisations. Potential
participants are likely to hold positions
related to policy making and management.
Fees
The tuition fee includes administration fees,
lecture materials and, if these are part of the
programme, excursions. The fee for a
combination of courses within one training
programme will not exceed € 5025.
Participants will be accommodated at the
Wageningen International Conference Centre
(WICC), on the basis of full board and
lodging. Prices are available upon request.
This sum is not included in the fee.

maintenance of healthy ecosystems. To meet
clients’ needs, the IAC takes an integrated
approach to capacity development. Advisory
fellowship should begin the application
procedure as soon as possible. Candidates
first apply to IAC (or ILRI, or the University)
for admission to the course. Preferably, this
should be done at least 2 weeks before the
Fellowship Application Deadline. Acceptable
candidates will receive a letter from IAC (or
ILRI, or the University) indicating that they
have been provisionally accepted.
