Suggested Checklist for Tank Truck Unloading
Receiver Activities
22 When the transfer operation is complete:
For Pump Discharge Only: (in sequence)
A ____ Manipulate hose to provide gravity flow
to pump enhancing hose drainage.
B ____ Close valve on receiver’s line.
C ____ Stop pump.
D ____ Close valve on vapor return line.
For Pressure Discharge Only: (in sequence)
23A ____ Close nitrogen supply valve or shut off air
compressor and closes dry air valve.
B ____ Close valve on receiver’s line.
C ____ Close vent line on storage tank.
24A ____ Bleed pressure off then disconnect the
unloading hose; cap and plug and stow
away safely. If using carrier hoses as
recommended, this is a driver activity.
25A ____ Secure unloading line connections.
