<strong>Peer</strong>-<strong>to</strong>-<strong>Peer</strong><br />

• Goal: To give PHS students an opportunity <strong>to</strong><br />

listen, reflect, and respond <strong>to</strong> a speaker from<br />

an outside agency who has experienced the<br />

tragic consequences of alcohol and drug abuse<br />

and found happiness and healing in recovery.<br />

These speakers may have subsequently<br />

completed a licensed recovery program and are<br />

helping others <strong>to</strong> live a substance-free life.


• Process: A speaker is arranged through a<br />

partnership with Libertae and Livengrin.<br />

• Background about speakers and Libertae.<br />

• Target Audience:<br />

<strong>Peer</strong>-<strong>to</strong>-<strong>Peer</strong><br />

– Twilight alternative school students<br />

– Referrals <strong>to</strong> the Student Assistance Team (SAP).


<strong>Peer</strong>-<strong>to</strong>-<strong>Peer</strong><br />

• Format: speaker talks for about thirty minutes.<br />

• Question and answer session at the conclusion<br />

of the speech.<br />

• Follow-up in men<strong>to</strong>ring groups.<br />

• Key <strong>to</strong> success: dynamic peer speaker.

• Evaluation: confidential survey<br />

• Data is reviewed by the committee<br />
