Government Affairs and Outside<br />
Organizations Committees. The Vice<br />
President for External Relations shall<br />
report directly to the President.<br />
Vice President for Planning: The<br />
Vice President for Planning shall be<br />
responsible for developing, planning<br />
and implementing strategies regarding<br />
majorissues affecting the Association<br />
and its members. The Vice President<br />
for Planning shall do so in conjunction<br />
with appropriate Association<br />
committees including the Annual<br />
Meeting, Survey, Statistics and<br />
Metrics, Site Planning and Bylaws<br />
Committees. The Vice President for<br />
Planning shall report to the President<br />
Elect.<br />
Vice President for Membership:<br />
The Vice President for Membership<br />
shall implement strategies of the<br />
Association in regards to membership<br />
in conjunction with the New Members,<br />
Human Resources, Affiliate Members,<br />
International Members and<br />
Nominations & Awards Committees.<br />
The Vice President for Membership<br />
shall report to the President-Elect.<br />
ARTICLE V:<br />
STANDING COMMITTEES<br />
The standing committees of the<br />
Association shall be as follows:<br />
Advanced Courses; Licensing Course;<br />
Technical; Investments; Audit;<br />
Publications; Electronic/Media<br />
Communications; Government Affairs;<br />
Outside Organizations; Annual<br />
Meeting; Survey, Statistics and<br />
Metrics; Bylaws; Site Planning; New<br />
Members; Human Resources; Affiliate<br />
Members; International Members; and<br />
Nominations and Awards; and such<br />
additional standing committees as<br />
shall be created and designated<br />
committees by the Board, The<br />
committees shall be comprised of as<br />
many members as the Chair deems<br />
fit. The Committee Chairs shall serve<br />
two-year terms, as will committee<br />
members except for the Annual<br />
Meeting Committee. The Annual<br />
Meeting Committee members shall be<br />
appointed by the Committee Chair to<br />
serve a one-year term. Except as<br />
provided otherwise in these Bylaws,<br />
the President shall appoint the Chairs<br />
of all committees, in consultation with<br />
the Board and in accordance with the<br />
following timetable. Half the<br />
Committee Chairs shall be appointed<br />
in even-numbered years and half the<br />
Committee Chairs shall be appointed<br />
In odd-numbered years.<br />
Each Committee Chair shall report<br />
to a Board member as stipulated<br />
beiow. In addition, each Committee<br />
Chair shall provide a report on the<br />
committee's activities of the past year<br />
and plans for the coming year to the<br />
Board at the Annual Meeting and at<br />
other times as requested by the<br />
President or the Board member to<br />
whom helshe reports.<br />
Advanced Courses Committee:<br />
This Committee shall provide for<br />
advanced educational courses at the<br />
Annual Meeting and all other regular<br />
or special, national or regional<br />
meetings of the Association or in<br />
conjunction with other professional<br />
organizations, as appropriate. This<br />
Committee shall report to the Vice<br />
President for Professional<br />
Development.<br />
Licensing Course Committee: This<br />
Committee shall make all<br />
arrangements (or the Annual AUTM<br />
Licensing Course. This Committee<br />
shall report to the Vice President for<br />
Professional Development.<br />
Technical Committee: This<br />
Committee shall be responsible for<br />
appointing the chairs and subjects for<br />
various ad hoc technical committees.<br />
Said ad hoc technical committees<br />
shall investigate and provide<br />
recommendations to the Association,<br />
through the Vice President for<br />
Professional Development, regarding<br />
specific technical subjects pertinent to<br />
