developments. The Vice President for
External Relations will carry out these
duties in conjunction with the
Government Affairs and Outside
Organizations Committees. The Vice
President for External Relations shall
report directly to the President.
Vice President for Planning: The
Vice President for Planning shall be
responsible for developing, planning
and implementing strategies regarding
majorissues affecting the Association
and its members. The Vice President
for Planning shall do so in conjunction
with appropriate Association
committees including the Annual
Meeting, Survey, Statistics and
Metrics, Site Planning and Bylaws
Committees. The Vice President for
Planning shall report to the President­
Elect.
Vice President for Membership:
The Vice President for Membership
shall implement strategies of the
Association in regards to membership
in conjunction with the New Members,
Human Resources, Affiliate Members,
International Members and
Nominations & Awards Committees.
The Vice President for Membership
shall report to the President-Elect.
ARTICLE V:
STANDING COMMITTEES
The standing committees of the
Association shall be as follows:
Advanced Courses; Licensing Course;
Technical; Investments; Audit;
Publications; Electronic/Media
Communications; Government Affairs;
Outside Organizations; Annual
Meeting; Survey, Statistics and
Metrics; Bylaws; Site Planning; New
Members; Human Resources; Affiliate
Members; International Members; and
Nominations and Awards; and such
additional standing committees as
shall be created and designated
committees by the Board, The
committees shall be comprised of as
many members as the Chair deems
fit. The Committee Chairs shall serve
two-year terms, as will committee
members except for the Annual
Meeting Committee. The Annual
Meeting Committee members shall be
appointed by the Committee Chair to
serve a one-year term. Except as
provided otherwise in these Bylaws,
the President shall appoint the Chairs
of all committees, in consultation with
the Board and in accordance with the
following timetable. Half the
Committee Chairs shall be appointed
in even-numbered years and half the
Committee Chairs shall be appointed
In odd-numbered years.
Each Committee Chair shall report
to a Board member as stipulated
beiow. In addition, each Committee
Chair shall provide a report on the
committee's activities of the past year
and plans for the coming year to the
Board at the Annual Meeting and at
other times as requested by the
President or the Board member to
whom helshe reports.
Advanced Courses Committee:
This Committee shall provide for
advanced educational courses at the
Annual Meeting and all other regular
or special, national or regional
meetings of the Association or in
conjunction with other professional
organizations, as appropriate. This
Committee shall report to the Vice
President for Professional
Development.
Licensing Course Committee: This
Committee shall make all
arrangements (or the Annual AUTM
Licensing Course. This Committee
shall report to the Vice President for
Professional Development.
Technical Committee: This
Committee shall be responsible for
appointing the chairs and subjects for
various ad hoc technical committees.
Said ad hoc technical committees
shall investigate and provide
recommendations to the Association,
through the Vice President for
Professional Development, regarding
specific technical subjects pertinent to
