New Members Committee: This<br />
Committee shail promote membership<br />
in the Association, pass upon all<br />
applications for membership and grant<br />
membership to such qualified<br />
candidates as it deems desirable and<br />
in the best interest of the Association.<br />
This Committee shall report to the<br />
Vice President for Membership.<br />
Human Resources Committee: This<br />
Committee shall develop and maintain<br />
a database of individual membership<br />
interests in conjunction with other<br />
appropriate Association committees.<br />
The Committee shall aiso manage the<br />
circulation of Association related job<br />
opportunities. This Committee shall<br />
report to the Vice President for<br />
Membership.<br />
Affiliate Members Committee: This<br />
Committee shall make<br />
recommendations and implement<br />
programs which would lead to more<br />
effective relationships between<br />
academic institutions and commercial<br />
firms as well as address the needs of<br />
Affiliate Members. This Committee<br />
shall report to the Vice President for<br />
Membership.<br />
International Members Committee:<br />
This Committee shall make<br />
recommendations andimplement<br />
programs which would lead to more<br />
effective expansion of the Association<br />
internationally. This Committee shall<br />
report to the Vice President for<br />
Membership.<br />
Nominations and Awards<br />
Committee: This Committee shall<br />
nominate candidates for Board<br />
positions for election at the Annual<br />
Meeting and shall assist the President<br />
and President-Elect in selecting<br />
committee members. The Committee<br />
shall solicit suggestions from<br />
members of the Association and the<br />
Human Resources Committee. This<br />
Committee shall nominate one<br />
qualified, interested and committed<br />
individual for each Board position to<br />
be vacant at the next election, as set<br />
out in Article VIII below. The<br />
Committee shall also make<br />
recommendations to the Board as to<br />
the types of awards of honor or<br />
appreciation to be granted by the<br />
Association, the standards thereof,<br />
and the procedures for selection of the<br />
recipients and the granting thereof.<br />
This Committee shall report to the<br />
Vice President for Membership.<br />
ARTICLE VI:<br />
NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS<br />
The Nominations and Awards<br />
Committee shall prepare a ballot<br />
listing nominees for vacant Board<br />
positions for presentation to the<br />
membership at least thirty (30) days<br />
prior to the Annual Meeting. This<br />
ballot, along with any other nominees<br />
proposed by Regular Members and<br />
Members Emeritus, will be voted on at<br />
the Annual Meeting. Those nominees<br />
receiving a majority of the votes cast<br />
shall be considered as elected,<br />
ARTICLE'VII:<br />
MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS<br />
Fiscal Year: The fiscal year of the<br />
Association shall be a twelve (12)<br />
month period ending December 31 of<br />
each year unless otherwise<br />
designated by the Board. The<br />
President and Vice President for<br />
Finance shall be responsible for<br />
preparation of an annual budget for<br />
the coming year for review and<br />
approval by the Board prior to the start<br />
of the fiscal year.<br />
Investment Accounts: The<br />
Association shall have such<br />
Investment accounts as the Board<br />
shall authorize from time to time: All<br />
such accounts shall be subject to<br />
withdrawal on the signature of the<br />
President or the Vice President for<br />
Finance.<br />
Notice: Whenever notice of any<br />
meeting or action is required to be
