Investments Committee: This<br />

Committee shall investigate and<br />

provide recommendations to the<br />

Board regarding appropriate<br />

investments of Association funds. This<br />

Committee shall report to the Vice<br />

President for Finance.<br />

Audit Committee: This Committee<br />

shall plan and implement internal and<br />

external audits of financial and<br />

operational information of the<br />

Association. The Committee shall<br />

report all findings to the Board. The<br />

Audit Committee shall report to the<br />

Vice President for Finance.<br />

Pubiications Committee: This<br />

Committee shall be responsible for<br />

assisting the Vice President for<br />

Communications in pianning and<br />

impiementing Association publication<br />

strategies. At a minimum, this<br />

Committee will be comprised of<br />

editors of all of the Association's<br />

publications, each of which will report<br />

directly to the Vice President for<br />

Communications.<br />

Electronic/Media Communications<br />

Committee: This Committee shall be<br />

responsible for planning and<br />

implementing the Association<br />

electronic publications and<br />

communications in a<br />

mannerconsistent with the<br />

Association's objectives and goals.<br />

This Committee shall report to the<br />

Vice President for Communications.<br />

Government Affairs Committee:<br />

This Committee shall be responsible<br />

for monitoring legislative and<br />

regulatory developments which impact<br />

the licensing of not-for-profit<br />

iaboratory research results and<br />

intellectual property and keeping the<br />

membership infomned of such<br />

developments. This Committee shall<br />

identify issues of major concern to the<br />

Association and its members and<br />

participate actively in reviewing,<br />

testifying or proposing new intellectual<br />

property regulations or legislation, or<br />

participating in other appropriate<br />

efforts connected with legisiation and<br />

regulation. This Committee shall<br />

report to the Vice President for<br />

External Relations.<br />

Outside Organizations Committee:<br />

This Committee shall be responsible<br />

for monitoring the activities of other<br />

professional organizations,<br />

associations and groups that have<br />

interests which overlap with those of<br />

the Association, shall keep the Board<br />

informed of those activities and shall<br />

make recommendations on same.<br />

This Committee shall report to the<br />

Vice President for External Relations.<br />

Annual Meeting Committee: This<br />

Comrnittee shall plan and make all<br />

arrangements for the Annual Meeting<br />

of the Association. This Committee<br />

shall report to the Vice President for<br />

Planning.<br />

Survey, Statistics and Metrics<br />

Committee: This Committee shall be<br />

responsible for surveys of the<br />

membership and data gathering<br />

consistent with the needs of the<br />

membership and in conjunction with<br />

other appropriate Association<br />

committees. This Committee shall<br />

report to the Vice President for<br />

Planning and shall cooperate with the<br />

Publications Committee in the<br />

collection and distribution of the<br />

results of their efforts.<br />

Bylaws Committee: This Committee<br />

shall study all proposals for<br />

amendments to the Bylaws and<br />

Articles of Incorporation and shall<br />

report thereon to the Board. This<br />

Committee shall report to the Vice<br />

President for Planning.<br />

Site Planning Committee: This<br />

Committee shall be responsible, with<br />

approval of the Board, for site<br />

selection for the Annual Meeting at<br />

least two (2) years in advance. The<br />

Committee shall provide assistance in<br />

site planning.for all other Association
