Investments Committee: This
Committee shall investigate and
provide recommendations to the
Board regarding appropriate
investments of Association funds. This
Committee shall report to the Vice
President for Finance.
Audit Committee: This Committee
shall plan and implement internal and
external audits of financial and
operational information of the
Association. The Committee shall
report all findings to the Board. The
Audit Committee shall report to the
Vice President for Finance.
Pubiications Committee: This
Committee shall be responsible for
assisting the Vice President for
Communications in pianning and
impiementing Association publication
strategies. At a minimum, this
Committee will be comprised of
editors of all of the Association's
publications, each of which will report
directly to the Vice President for
Communications.
Electronic/Media Communications
Committee: This Committee shall be
responsible for planning and
implementing the Association
electronic publications and
communications in a
mannerconsistent with the
Association's objectives and goals.
This Committee shall report to the
Vice President for Communications.
Government Affairs Committee:
This Committee shall be responsible
for monitoring legislative and
regulatory developments which impact
the licensing of not-for-profit
iaboratory research results and
intellectual property and keeping the
membership infomned of such
developments. This Committee shall
identify issues of major concern to the
Association and its members and
participate actively in reviewing,
testifying or proposing new intellectual
property regulations or legislation, or
participating in other appropriate
efforts connected with legisiation and
regulation. This Committee shall
report to the Vice President for
External Relations.
Outside Organizations Committee:
This Committee shall be responsible
for monitoring the activities of other
professional organizations,
associations and groups that have
interests which overlap with those of
the Association, shall keep the Board
informed of those activities and shall
make recommendations on same.
This Committee shall report to the
Vice President for External Relations.
Annual Meeting Committee: This
Comrnittee shall plan and make all
arrangements for the Annual Meeting
of the Association. This Committee
shall report to the Vice President for
Planning.
Survey, Statistics and Metrics
Committee: This Committee shall be
responsible for surveys of the
membership and data gathering
consistent with the needs of the
membership and in conjunction with
other appropriate Association
committees. This Committee shall
report to the Vice President for
Planning and shall cooperate with the
Publications Committee in the
collection and distribution of the
results of their efforts.
Bylaws Committee: This Committee
shall study all proposals for
amendments to the Bylaws and
Articles of Incorporation and shall
report thereon to the Board. This
Committee shall report to the Vice
President for Planning.
Site Planning Committee: This
Committee shall be responsible, with
approval of the Board, for site
selection for the Annual Meeting at
least two (2) years in advance. The
Committee shall provide assistance in
site planning.for all other Association
