The late Brian Earp with SIKIG’s Julien Pedelucq.
The bilateral scholarship programme is in honour of Brian
Earp, Apata’s Founding Director, who was a man of vision
and foresight with a hunger for learning and innovation.
He was a person who shared his skills, looked out for his
neighbours and colleagues and had no fear of the future.
He played such a key role in the evolution of this business
– and the industry.
Both the Earp and the Pedelucq families are delighted
with this initiative to facilitate and enhance grower and
post-harvest competencies and knowledge to improve
performance and quality.
The first exchange will take place in November this year,
with an Apata employee travelling to France to work at
SIKIG for six weeks.
