<strong>the</strong> initial post flo<strong>we</strong>ring period but <strong>the</strong> second window before monitoring commences is a backup if <strong>the</strong> <strong>we</strong>a<strong>the</strong>r is not suitable.<br />

Remember th<strong>at</strong> if <strong>you</strong> include a leafroller control in with <strong>the</strong> second oil <strong>you</strong> will need a pest monitoring result to support it.<br />

KiwiGreen monitoring<br />

The first Gold orchards will be checked for leafroller before <strong>Christmas</strong> but <strong>the</strong> real start will be immedi<strong>at</strong>ely in <strong>the</strong> New Year.<br />

OPERATIONAL STAFF UPDATE<br />

We are pleased to announce th<strong>at</strong> Chris Kearns has accepted <strong>the</strong> role of GM Oper<strong>at</strong>ions. Chris is<br />

currently <strong>the</strong> Site Manager for Eastpack’s Edgecumbe site, and has over eight years industry experience<br />

in controlled <strong>at</strong>mosphere, coolstorage and site management.<br />

Chris will officially start <strong>at</strong> Ap<strong>at</strong>a on Monday 10 January, ho<strong>we</strong>ver he will be <strong>at</strong> our Turntable Hill Road<br />

site for a few days prior to <strong>Christmas</strong> for staff induction. Nicki Paget and Graeme Burnett officially start in<br />

<strong>the</strong>ir new oper<strong>at</strong>ional roles on 1 January 2011. Nicki is moving to <strong>the</strong> role of S<strong>at</strong>ellite Site Manager, which<br />

includes management of our Pyes Pa site. Graeme will be reloc<strong>at</strong>ing up North to take up <strong>the</strong> reins of our<br />

Whangarei Site.<br />

We look forward to introducing Chris, Nicki and Graeme to our gro<strong>we</strong>rs.
