<strong>USING</strong> <strong>ICS</strong> <strong>TO</strong> <strong>MANAGE</strong> <strong>SPECIAL</strong> <strong>EVENTS</strong><br />

The Finance/Administration Section is responsible for managing all costs related to incident response at<br />

the event command infrastructure. Typically, the promoter and/or sponsor manage the financial aspects<br />

of most special events. When certain necessary resources and support needs are not provided, some<br />

means of maintaining financial accountability should be established.<br />

Note that not all events or incidents will require a Finance/Administration Section. Only when the<br />

agencies involved in responding to the event/incident have a specific need for Finance/Administration<br />

services will the section be activated.<br />
