2378. MARY TIBBITTS ' GREENE (Rufus " , Thomas = , Richard ^<br />

Richard 3, Thomas % John') was born October 28, 1819. She married,<br />

March 6, 1845, WiUiam Walker Keach, son <strong>of</strong> Zephaniah, Jr., and Phebe<br />

(Phetteplace) Keach, born August 23, 181 2, died April i, 1861. She died at<br />

Providence, July 22, 1891, and was buried at Swan Point Cemetery.<br />

3592. Josephine Keach, born November 7, 1845, married, October 17, 1866,<br />

Frederick \V. Arnold, son <strong>of</strong> Christopher B. and Sarah {Truman) Arnold.<br />

<strong>The</strong>y had three children: Frank Truman, Frederick William, and Ralph<br />

Keach, born August 5, 1878, died September 4, 1882.<br />

3593. FiTZ Greene Keach, born March 7, 1848, died March 29, 1S51.<br />

3594. Robert Lane Keach, born September i, 1851, married (i) Helen, daughter<br />

<strong>of</strong> Siichet and Abhy W. Mauran, who died at her mother's home, Providence,<br />

January 30, 1883. <strong>The</strong>y had one daughter, Helen Louisa, bom<br />

1881. He married (2), 1886, Caroline Morse, and had one child.<br />

3595. Mary Alice Keach, bom June 16, 1854.<br />

3596. Wm. Frederick Keach, born August 3, 1858, married, October 15, iSSg,<br />

Isabel, daughter <strong>of</strong> .4. G. (?) Morse, who died in 1892, after a long period<br />

<strong>of</strong> invalidism, which is thus alluded to: "To those who watched the long<br />

struggle <strong>of</strong> her naturally strong constitution and courageous spirit <strong>with</strong><br />

the limitations <strong>of</strong> physical weakness, it was cause for keen regret that her<br />

very high order <strong>of</strong> talent and great intellectual ability should be at least,<br />

apparently, so curtailed; and that one favorite pursuit after another<br />

should be uncomplainingly resigned and the life <strong>of</strong> an invalid accepted as<br />

a necessity. Yet, except to those who lived <strong>with</strong> her day by day, there was<br />

little evidence <strong>of</strong> what she endured, or <strong>of</strong> the sacrifice she was making. No<br />

one was ever <strong>with</strong> her <strong>with</strong>out feeling happier, fuller <strong>of</strong> hope, energ\% and<br />

resolution, and more sure that this life <strong>of</strong> ours is worth living.<br />

While we, under the impression <strong>of</strong> her remarkable personality, wished that<br />

she might have the fullest opportunity to achieve all <strong>of</strong> which we knew her
