ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
The first edition of the Mine Rehabilitation Handbook, produced in
1990, was prepared in cooperation with, and was endorsed by, the
Mines Departments and Chambers of Mines in all States. The original
outline for the Handbook was prepared by Dr. Sam Ward of Alcoa of
Australia Ltd. The final text was prepared by R. P. Warren
Dr. Sam Ward of Alcoa of Australia Ltd has kindly revised the 1990
version, incorporating useful comments from a large number of
individuals and State Chambers. It is with much appreciation that the
Minerals Council of Australia acknowledges the contribution of these
people, all experts in their fields, who gave their time freely. Special
thanks and recognition must, however, go to Sam for his exceptional
contribution. The Minerals Council of Australia would also like to
acknowledge the companies and organisations for whom the
individuals work.
The Handbook will continue to be revised from time to time. If you wish
to provide comment please forward it to the:
