5:30 p.m.<br />
Royer led everyone in<br />
the Pledge of Allegiance.<br />

Bressler, seconded by<br />
Krogstad and carried to<br />
approve the agenda with<br />
one addendum.<br />
Rick Furn<strong>is</strong>h requested<br />
information from the<br />
Board regarding the hiring<br />
of a new high school head<br />
volleyball coach. He was<br />
informed that every teaching<br />
position includes the<br />
phrase with or without<br />
coaching and some of<br />
those positions are in the<br />
process of being advert<strong>is</strong>ed.<br />
It was also noted the<br />
D<strong>is</strong>trict prefers to hire d<strong>is</strong>trict<br />
teachers as their<br />
coaches whenever possible.<br />
Spearf<strong>is</strong>h High School’s<br />
athletic trainer Kr<strong>is</strong>ty<br />
Eastman-Olson (provided<br />
by Regional Medical<br />
Clinic) shared information<br />
on the D<strong>is</strong>trict’s method of<br />
dealing with student concussions.<br />
Spearf<strong>is</strong>h was<br />
the first d<strong>is</strong>trict in the state<br />
to use Concussion Impact<br />
Software to promote<br />
healthy participation of its<br />
student athletes.<br />
Dan Krogstad volunteered<br />
to be an additional<br />
member for the Board of<br />
Equalization.<br />
Motion was made by<br />
Sleep, seconded by<br />
Krogstad and carried to<br />
accept the construction bid<br />
from Ainsworth-Benning<br />
for the new elementary<br />
building with the exception<br />
of add alternate #5.<br />
