Services for hearing-impaired<br />

The <strong>Minnesota</strong> Senate is continuing<br />

to offer TTY service for the hearing<br />

impaired. Located in Senate Index, the<br />

TTY telecommunications service allows<br />

deaf or hearing-impaired persons to<br />

communicate with Index staff in order<br />

to find out bill status, bill content and<br />

bill authorship. The telephone numbers<br />

for the TTY service are (651) 296-0250<br />

or 1-888-234-1216.<br />

In addition a public access TTY pay<br />

telephone is located near the Information<br />

Desk on the first floor of the<br />

Capitol Building.<br />

Information Office profiled<br />

The Senate Information Office and<br />

the Office of the Secretary of the Senate<br />

are located in Room 231 of the Capitol.<br />

These offices distribute all public<br />

materials and handle inquiries about<br />

Senate committee meetings and floor<br />

sessions, conference committees, Senate<br />

districts, Senate telephone numbers, bill<br />

reference numbers and status, and bill<br />

sponsorship. Interested citizens may also<br />

request copies of bills or ask to be put<br />

on the mailing list for Senate publications.<br />

concerning the <strong>Minnesota</strong> Senate,<br />
