Kevin Hughes has been a hair stylist and colour
specialist for over 20 years. A Long Island native and
one of 12 children growing up, he trained in colour at
the prestigious Louis Licari Salon in New York City
and attended extensive hands-on classes in cutting,
colouring and styling for television and film. He later
opened his own salon and managed the business
for more than eight years.
In 2011, Kevin joined the Moroccanoil Global
Education Team, bringing in a wealth of knowledge
with enormous creativity and travelling the globe
to share the latest Moroccanoil product news and
brand strategies.
Backstage at Fashion Week, Kevin has worked with
top designers including Carolina Herrera, Badgley
Mischka and Catherine Malandrino.
Now based in L.A., Kevin’s energy and passion
for teaching and inspiring others is contagious
and client satisfaction is one of the most important
things to him.

A bride should feel nothing short of beautiful on
her wedding day. Discover bridal hair trends and
signature bridal looks for any bride on her special
day. This class will showcase both upcoming bridal
hair fashion matched with classic bridal looks using
Moroccanoil hair care products and tools.

Violet sainsbury

Violet Sainsbury started her hairdressing career
in 1999 in Cairns, later joining the Schwarzkopf
Young Artistic Team as a session stylist where she
discovered platform artistry. In 2004 Violet moved to
Brisbane to focus on becoming a platform educator
and won the L’Oréal Colour Trophy.
After attending a Toni&Guy show in her home town,
Violet set her sights on the brand which lead to her
becoming an Educator in the Queensland Academy
and then an Art Director. In 2007 she earned a
coveted place on the Australian F.A.M.E. Team and
embarked on a national and international education
tour before relocating to London to work at the
brand’s flagship Regent Street salon.
As part of the Toni&Guy session styling team,
Violet worked on a number of shows including
London Fashion Week which positioned her to
welcome a celebrity clientele including former
Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell, Johnny Buckland
(Coldplay guitarist) and other popular musicians.

The Runway Class will share the most sought-after
looks and latest trends hot off the runways – from
New York to Milan to London to Paris. This 2 – 2½
hour class will demonstrate how to make any runway
style consumer-friendly using only Moroccanoil hair
care products and tools. Educators will draw upon
their recent participation in fashion weeks across
the globe, working behind the scenes to execute
hairstyles in a look-and-learn format.

the art of hairdressing
look & learn workshop
It is back to the basics in the Art of Hairdressing
Class. Whether you want to learn fundamental hair
techniques or re-familiarise yourself with core
knowledge of hairdressing, this class will showcase
classic techniques incorporated with new methods.
Mastering the proper foundational techniques and
finishing skills will allow you to create any shape and
style using Moroccanoil products and tools.
