in Australia, Grant has always been involved in
educating the youth and has seen his craft take
him around the world to far flung international
locations. Throughout his young life, Grant has
been nominated for and won numerous awards
and had his work published internationally in
many trade and consumer magazines.
Grant works alongside the evo® founder and
CEO, Gavin von Gavin as well as creative director,
Leonard Newton designing and implementing global
education content, creative collections and key looks
as well as training new friends on how to use the
range of products.

In 2008 Leonard joined forces with evo® as Creative
Director coinciding with evo®’s expansions into the
international market. Today, Leonard continues
to develop innovative products and education
programs for evo®.
Leonard has an exceptional background in the
international arena as:
· An international educator for product companies
and hairdressing chains;
· A former artistic director for hairdressing
academies;
· A session stylist with Guido Pilau;
· Hair Expo 2004 “Australian Hairdressing Educator
of the Year”, and;
· Owner/director of the renowned Desmond & Molly
Jones salon in Sydney’s Surry Hills.

evo® educator
Although not much of note really came out of
the 90’s, the start of Andre’s career is a notable
exception. Honing his trade in a manner akin to the
Karate Kid, his masters included icons like Nick Irwin,
Clive Alright, Richard Mannah and Dennis Langford.
He worked his way through the ranks with industry
leading brands across Australia, Asia and London
and most recently worked in the role of National
Education Director with one of the big kahunas
of hair.
Keen to multi-task he likes to take a snap or two and
his work has featured in Australian Harper’s Bazaar,
Vogue, Highlights Magazine, Culture and Australian
Hairdressers Journal to name a few.

practical workshop
Let’s cut to the chase. evo®’s simplified and
highly effective way of cutting hair uses minimal
sectioning patterns to deliver great results. Teaching
fundamental, classic cutting principles that can be
immediately used to improve results in the salon.
This practical workshop is suitable for apprentices
(second year and above) through to senior level,
being especially great for staff trainers!
