This is a reminder for students to check the status of your applications to make sure your application files
are complete. Most colleges have an online application status check, so you need to check there for
details regarding your application.
If you have requested letters of recommendation from the counselors at TWHS, you can verify the status
of your recommendation requests on your Family Connection account. To check the status of
recommendations, do the following:
Log on to your Family Connection account.
Click on "colleges"
Click on "colleges I'm applying to"
Click on "view detailed status" and you will see a check in everything that has been completed
To check the status of your transcript requests, do the following:
Log on to your Family Connection account.
Click on "colleges"
Click on "transcripts"
Click on "view the status of my transcript requests"
Please make sure that you update your college acceptances on Family Connection as you receive
admissions decisions.
Also, be sure to review the scholarship list on Family Connection to get the current scholarship
information.
DEADLINE QUICKLY APPROACHING FOR UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN!
Please be advised that the UT-Austin application deadline is December 1, 2011. All applications and
supporting documents must be received at the UT-Austin admissions office no later than December 1,
2011.
If you have not submitted your ACT or SAT scores from the testing agency, you should submit them
immediately so they will arrive by the deadline. Students who have incomplete applications will not be
considered for admissions.

There are many scholarships that have already gone unclaimed this year. Don’t miss out on scholarship
money! Visit the scholarship list on Family Connection to get your share of scholarships. See Mrs.
Vickers in the College & Career Center if you need help in connecting with dollars.
